11 Days & 10 Nights

OVERVIEW

Visit Kibale National Park, the best spot for Chimpanzee tracking in Uganda and a boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel adjoining Lake Edward and George. This is the best area for spotting crocodiles, elephants, hippos and different species of birds. On the same safari, you will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, the most popular National Park and finest reserve in the country with incredible savannah where spotting of the big 5 and other aspects of game viewing takes place, plus an exciting day walk and hiking at the foot hills of Mountain Rwenzori - the mountains of the moon, that needs energy and fitness.
The classic tour of Uganda starts from Entebbe Town or Kampala City and ends at Entebbe International Airport. This Safari is an outdoor activity that takes 11 days through the remote areas of the western part of Uganda. As a visitor, join us for a chance to see the amazing wildlife inhabiting Uganda’s rain forests. We spend two to three days exploring Kibale Forest, home to over 950 chimps and 13 varieties of other primates – including Columbus monkeys, red tailed monkeys and other wildlife, making the Park the best place to spot chimpanzee on this Safari.
We take a day's walk on the foothills of mountain Rwenzori - also known as Mountains of the moon, plus visiting the local villages around the area. Later on, we catch a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which has high chances of spotting herds of Elephants, Buffalos, Hippos, Crocodiles and Kobs at a close range. Later in the day, we take a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you may spot tree climbing lions. Thereafter, you travel deep into the thick rain forest near Bwindi National Park where we experience the ultimate encounter. Here you get up close and personal with the endangered Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat, and if time permits, you will enjoy a boat ride on Lake, Bunyonyi (the second deepest lake in Africa) surrounded by verdant rolling hills.

TRIP INFORMATION:

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and National Park is located in a series of verdant rolling hills with incredibly thick forests. When it comes to tracking the mountain gorillas, it often involves steep up and down hill climbs and sometimes uneven and wet terrain. We therefore advise our visitors to wear hiking boots, rain coats and carry walking sticks for balancing your feet as we embark on the journey. The altitude in the forest is varied, with the highest point being 2607m above sea level. With this in mind, you might find hiking through that rather steep terrain a bit challenging. Your tour guides and Game rangers will be in handy to take you through the safety measures and important key notes to consider, before departure for planned activities, and also prior to getting close to the mountain gorillas.
As a visitor, your time with the gorillas is restricted to one or two hours only by the Wildlife Authority. This is to safeguard the gorillas and avoid excessive contact with human beings. You will have some photo opportunities during the trek, so make sure your camera batteries are fully charged. Once the authorized time winds up, with your tour guides, you will retreat from the forest to your respective vehicles waiting to transport you to the hotel or to your next scheduled activity. Gorilla Trekking is an unforgettable experience especially when you have close ups with these gentle and incredible animals, an intense and life time encounter.
