Along with your experienced guide you will paddle at a relaxing pace and explore the shallow, calm, blue-green waters of the back country of Key West. You will glide through the winding mangrove creeks and paddle through inches of water, where you can easily view and learn about the geological structure of the Keys along with its inhabitants.
Your adventure will give you a chance to view the mangrove environment up close, along with its marine life including tropical fish, crabs, sea stars, jellyfish, sea cucumbers, sponges and various aquatic birds. All our tours are available using kayaks or paddleboards. Tours run daily.

Check-in Info
- Check-in is 30 mins before tour time. Please.30 mins. Please allow for traffic and note that we are in Key West. Nowhere near Marathon or Key Largo. If you show up past check in time or at tour time, you will be considered a no show and there will be no refunds. So come on, don't make us be jerks! You've got this! You can show up 30 mins before!
- Check-in is at Lazy Dog at Hurricane Hole Marina just past Mile Marker 4 on US 1North. There's free parking but can be limited during busy times. taxis/uber/lyft all come out to us and that also allows you to have a bite or drink at the dockside marina restaurant!
Additional Notes
- It's customary to tip your guide 15-20%. Cash or credit card accepted or ask for your guide's Venmo
- You're welcome to leave anything that can't get wet with us at the Paddle Shack. There is no dry storage in kayaks or on boards
- Rest rooms are available on site
- Outdoor freshwater shower available
- Lazy Dog is not responsible for any items left with us, left behind, lost or stolen

PLEASE NOTE: If we feel current and wind is too much for safe and comfortable paddleboarding, we'll advise you at check in or notify you in advance and advise you to switch to a kayak or reschedule for a different day. This is not to "ruin your vacation" (David from PA) it's to ensure that your activity is much more enjoyable and you want to paddle board again!
Cancellation Policy
Look, we understand the bars are open until 4 am. All we ask is that you give us 12 hours* cancellation for full refund if you feel you'll suddenly become "ill" the next day so that we may give your spot to someone else. Or come anyway! sweat it out then some hair of the dog at the dock side bar!
*Please note that Eco Boat Adventure requires 24 hours due to limited availability
As far as the weather, don't believe the hype. 80% chance of rain usually means it'll be a passing shower at some point and usually overnight. We only cancel the tour if there is lightning in the area
If it's windy, we can usually hide. We'll for sure give you a warning if we think you'll have an issue. Please heed the warning as we know what we're talking about and we just want you to have the best possible vacation experience.
