Important: If you're running more than 30 minutes late, please contact us immediately. After 1 hour of delay without notification, your kayak may be rented to another customer and your booking may be forfeited.

Minimum age to paddle Solo: 10 years old
- Children under 10 may accompany parents in tandem kayaks
- All minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a responsible adult
- Parent/guardian must sign liability waiver for all minors
Swimming Ability:
- All participants must be able to swim
- Life jackets (PFDs) are mandatory and must be worn at all times on the water
- We provide CE-certified life jackets in all sizes
Physical Requirements:
- Participants should be in good physical health
- Able to paddle for 15-20 minutes to reach Pinel Island

Pregnant Women:
May participate at their own discretion during early pregnancy
We reserve the right to decline participation based on weather conditions, wave height, or advanced pregnancy stage

- Tandem Kayaks: Combined weight limit of 485 lbs (220 kg)

IMPORTANT - Family Kayak Restrictions:
- Family kayaks are designed for 2 adults and 2 SMALL children only
- Children must be young enough to fit comfortably in the limited space available

Equipment Responsibility:
- Renters are responsible for the kayak and all equipment during the rental period
- Lost or damaged equipment will be charged at replacement cost
- Late returns incur additional charges (€20 per hour late)
Route & Conditions:
- This is a self-guided rental; no guide accompanies you on the water
- Route recommendations are suggestions only; you paddle at your own risk
- Water and weather conditions can change; paddlers must use good judgment
- Return immediately if conditions deteriorate or you feel unsafe
Marine Park Regulations:
- The Marine Park fee is mandatory and included in your rental
- Respect all marine life and coral reefs
- No littering or touching marine animals
- Follow all posted marine sanctuary rules
Photography:
- By participating, you grant Caribbean Paddling permission to use photos or videos taken during your rental for promotional purposes without compensation
- You may opt out by notifying us in writing before your rental
Faqs: Q: Do I need kayaking experience?
A: No! Our kayaks are beginner-friendly and stable. We provide a comprehensive safety briefing and basic paddling instructions before you depart. Most first-timers feel comfortable within 5-10 minutes.
Q: How far is it to Pinel Island?
A: The distance from our shop to Pinel Island is approximately 800 meters (0.5 miles). With direct paddling, it takes 15-20 minutes. However, most guests take 30-45 minutes as they explore the sandbar, Little Key, and turtle spots along the way.
Q: What if the weather is bad?
A: Safety first! We monitor weather conditions closely. If conditions are unsafe (lightning, strong winds, rough seas), we'll contact you to reschedule or provide a full refund. If weather deteriorates during your rental, return immediately and we'll arrange a partial refund or reschedule.
Q: Can my young children come?
A: Children must be at least 10 years old to paddle solo. Younger children are welcome to ride in tandem kayaks with parents. All minors must wear life jackets and be accompanied by an adult. We have kids' sizes available for all equipment.
Q: Are there bathrooms and food on Pinel Island?
A: Yes! Pinel Island has several beach bars/restaurants with bathrooms, food, and drinks. You can purchase meals, snacks, and beverages (cash recommended). There are also shaded areas and beach loungers available.
Q: What if I capsize?
A: Our kayaks are very stable, but capsizing can happen. You'll be wearing a life jacket, so you'll float safely. The water is shallow in many areas, and you can always swim to shore if needed.
Q: Can I bring my phone/camera?
A: Absolutely! We have waterproof dry bags available for rent at €5. We also recommend a waterproof phone case for easy access to take photos. Waterproof camera rentals and GoPros are available if you don't have your own.
Q: Is snorkeling equipment included?
A: Snorkeling gear is not included in the kayak rental but is available to rent separately. You're also welcome to bring your own.
Q: What happens if I'm late returning?
A: Please return by 5:00 PM. Late returns are subject to additional charges of €20 per hour. If you anticipate being late due to circumstances, please call us as soon as possible.
Q: Do you offer tandem (double) kayaks?
A: Yes! We have both single and tandem kayaks available. Tandem kayaks are perfect for couples, parent-child teams, or anyone who wants to share the paddling experience. Please specify your preference when booking.
Q: Is this activity suitable for seniors?
A: Many seniors enjoy our kayak rentals! As long as you're in good health, able to swim, and comfortable with light physical activity, kayaking can be a wonderful experience. Our stable kayaks and calm waters make it accessible for most fitness levels.
Q: What's the maximum group size?
A: We can accommodate groups of all sizes! For groups of 10 or more, please contact us in advance so we can ensure equipment availability and provide a coordinated briefing.

Please arrive on time at our location in Cul-de-Sac (free parking available).
Bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses, the Caribbean sun is strong! We recommend wearing a swimsuit and water shoes or sandals.

Cancellation Policy
You can cancel or reschedule your booking up to 24 hours before your start time for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 24 hours or no-shows are non-refundable.
If weather conditions make paddling unsafe, we’ll offer to reschedule your activity or provide a full refund, your safety always comes first.
