The Alternate Wave Adventure. For those who may not have the fortune to win a permit, fear not. Kanab Tour Company's exclusive tour takes you into The Wave's overlooked neighbor. Join us for a tour with epic sandstone buttes, fins, waves and delicate lace rock outcroppings. The Alt Wave Adventure stands alone as a destination and is worthy alongside the region's great hikes.
What to Bring
- Please bring a backpack
- Depending on the time of year, you may need a coat and warm hat
- Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and comfortable hiking/walking shoes are recommended
Inclusions
Included:
- A friendly, knowledgeable guide
- A cooler full of water is supplied, though you may want to bring snacks.
Not Included:
- Gratuity for your guide
- Face covering (recommended) offered for sale in office for $3 each or 2 for $5
Group Continuity & Safety / Protecting our Resources
- All guests must stay with the group and guide at all times.
- The guide MUST BE NOTIFIED of any variance to this policy.
- Do not climb or hike up any steep rock faces or areas indicated as “off limits” by your guide.
- Do not enter any mine or cave openings.

Thank you for booking your Alt Wave Tour with us. Please plan on being at our office in Kanab 15 minutes prior to departure.

Cancellation Policy
Due to limited seating, we request that you cancel at least 24 hours before a scheduled tour. This gives us the opportunity to offer the tour to other guests. For these cancellations, all but $100 will be refunded. For online bookings, there is also a 6% booking fee on the sub-total which is non-refundable.
If you cancel in less than 24 hours before a scheduled tour, there will be no refund and, if necessary, the balance due will be charged to the credit card on file. Cancellations due to unsafe weather conditions will be refunded in full if we are not able to reschedule and agreed upon by both parties.
Kanab Tour Company reserves the right to alter, add to, substitute or cancel any tour due to Staffing, Mechanical Failure, Unsafe Weather Conditions, or as determined by Management.
