Description: Aboard The Destin, a luxurious yacht in Destin, Florida, we offer a compassionate and dignified bereavement charter service, providing a serene setting for families to honor and remember their loved ones. Our experienced crew ensures a smooth, private journey along the Gulf of Mexico, creating a peaceful atmosphere for scattering ashes or holding a memorial at sea. The natural beauty of Destin’s emerald waters offers a meaningful backdrop for reflection, surrounded by the tranquility of the ocean. Crew Fee
For chartering services, there is an additional Captain/Crew fee of $500, payable directly to the Captain on the day of the charter.

Payment can be made in cash or through various money transfer apps. Gratuity is not included in this fee but is welcomed.

Itinerary: 1. Welcome & Boarding
• Guests arrive at the harbor in Destin, FL.

• The captain offers a few words about the significance of the journey.
2. Departure & Scenic Cruise
• The yacht departs the dock, beginning a serene cruise through the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
• Passengers can take in the beauty of the coastline, enjoying the peaceful ambiance.
• Light background music or personal tributes may be shared among family and friends.
3. Memorial Ceremony
• The yacht anchors at a tranquil spot in the gulf or a serene inlet.
• The official memorial service begins, led by a clergy member or family spokesperson.
• A moment of silence or shared readings, poems, or tributes to the deceased.
• Option for flower petals or biodegradable urns to be released into the water as part of the farewell.
4. Private Reflection & Return Cruise
• Guests can spend time reflecting, sharing memories, or offering condolences while the yacht slowly returns to the dock.
• Soft music or personalized playlist plays in the background, fostering a comforting environment.
• Light refreshments are served to guests.
5. Disembarkation & Farewell
• The yacht docks back in Destin Harbor.
• Guests say their farewells and disembark at their leisure, with a final thank you from the crew.

There are plenty of paid parking spots, but we recommend using ride share apps or a local transportation company.

Special Requirements: We require all infants (ages 3 and under) to come aboard wearing their own floatation devices. These are not provided.

We provide ice-filled coolers, sodas, and bottled water. For food and alcohol, feel free to bring your own to enjoy while on your cruise.

SHOULD I TIP MY CAPTAIN?
Our Captains do work for tips, so gratuity is greatly appreciated. We suggest a 15-20% gratuity (per seat or charter) based on the service you receive. They are very experienced, knowledgeable, and your safety is paramount! Given what we are about, we searched high and low for the most well rounded, charming, and professional Captains around.
