High winds
Heavy fog
Flooding
Thunderstorms
Extreme cold
Whiteout or low-visibility conditions
If we determine that a trip cannot proceed safely—even with modifications—we will work with you to reschedule or issue a full refund.
We will call you within an hour of the start time if weather is forcing us to change venue, activity or cancel all togeather.
Participant Fitness & Mobility Policy
For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, our guided trips require a minimum level of physical fitness and mobility. If a guide determines that a participant is unable to safely keep pace with the group due to skill, fitness, or mobility limitations, the participant may be turned back at the guide’s discretion. For guided Kayaking and stand-up paddleboard trips, we follow the American Canoe Association's Essential Eligibility Standards to determine if someone can participate in all water-based activities. Your guide will determine if you can safely participate. For more information on these standards, please refer to https://americancanoe.org/eec/
We strive to place guests on appropriate trips and avoid these situations, so please contact us with any concerns before booking. We strongly encourage all participants to review trip difficulty ratings and physical requirements before booking. If you have any questions about your ability to participate, please contact us in advance — we’re happy to help you choose an appropriate adventure.
Please note: No refunds will be issued if a guide turns you back.
