Description: Come walk in the steps of heroes by getting a behind the scenes tour of the Yorktown featuring exclusive access to areas of the ship not normally accessible to the general public.

Highlights Include:

  • Step in an original B-25 Mitchell Bomber which was the same model of aircraft used by Doolittle’s Raiders in their attack of mainland Japan.

  • Take a look at the day in the life of a sailor aboard the Yorktown and gain a true understanding of why it is referred to as a floating city.

  • Discover the original Captain’s Quarters and hear about the men who commanded such titanic vessels including the Yorktown’s first Captain, Adm. Joseph J. Clark.

  • Examine some of the mighty aircraft that flew off the deck of the Yorktown while in service while enjoying a beautiful view of Charleston's harbor.

Please check in at the front ticket window with your confirmation email 30 minutes prior to tour departure time. Once you check in, you will meet your tour guide at the information desk in the hangar bay aboard the USS Yorktown. Please look for your Bulldog Tours guide!

*This tour does include admission to the Yorktown and a 1.5 hour guided Captain's Tour of the ship. After the tour, you are more than welcome to continue to explore on your own.

**Please note this tour is not handicapped accessible. The tour will start promptly on time. Please visit the restroom and purchase water prior to the tour beginning. It’s a continuous tour for approx. 1.5 hours.

Weather Policy:
We cannot give refunds for inclement weather once the tour begins. If you are concerned with the possibility of inclement weather during the tour, please reschedule your tour. If the weather becomes so severe during the tour that the tour guide cannot provide you with a quality experience, we will issue a full or partial refund depending on the specific circumstances.


Cancellation Policy

-The Captain's Tour does require a minimum of 4 people to run. Should we not meet the minimum, you will be contacted ASAP.

Regardless of whether you choose the Trip Protection option or not, your tickets can be refunded up until 24 hours prior to start time. Any refunds requested past the 24 hour window will not be refunded unless you have selected the Trip Protection add-on.
