Experience the best parts of the city with an award-winning guide, Eric Lavender.

Duration

About

Founded in 1670, Charles Town became the jewel of the South, but not before a tumultuous beginning. The city started as a bawdy port town known for pirates and ladies of negotiated affections.

As Charles Town grew, it became known for its immense wealth, religious tolerance, refinement, and sophistication.

From historic homes tucked away on picturesque, cobblestone streets to historic churches and public buildings, we'll explore Charleston's 349-year history and show you some of the most important sites of the Colonial Period, Revolution, and Civil War.

This is not a costumed tour.
