You will learn about the events which led to the outbreak of America’s most bloody war. When you arrive you will be greeted by National Park Service Rangers, who will provide further details about Fort Sumter and its pivotal role in the American Civil War. After your roughly one hour visit, you will enjoy a soothing cruise back to your departure point.

Exact Meeting Instructions
The Charleston Strolls Walk with History Tour meets and departs from outside the Mills House Hotel, 115 Meeting Street, located right on the corner of Queen and Meeting St. If you are looking at the front door of the hotel, you will meet in the courtyard to the left by the black iron gates. Please arrive 10 minutes early.

We cannot give refunds for inclement weather once the tour begins. If you are concerned with the possibility of inclement weather during the tour, please reschedule your tour. If the weather becomes so severe during the tour that the tour guide cannot provide you with a quality experience, we will issue a full or partial refund depending on the specific circumstances.
