This two-hour walking tour through America’s most charming historic district is sure to be the highlight of your visit to historic Charleston. Tour highlights may include Rainbow Row, Historic Waterfront Battery, Antebellum Mansions, hidden gardens and courtyards, historic churches and graveyards, and Revolutionary and Civil War landmarks.
DRAYTON HALL PLANTATION HOUSE TOUR:
Built in 1738, Drayton Hall is the oldest unrestored plantation house in America still open to the public and the nation’s earliest example of fully executed Palladian architecture. The entire site—including the historic grounds with its ancient live oaks, broad vistas, vanished structures, and rare period features—serves as a testimony to America’s heritage. Admission includes daily tours, access to Drayton Hall’s galleries and garden, and interpretive programs - including a guided house tour.

The Charleston Stroll meets at the Mills House Hotel, 115 Meeting Street. If you are looking at the hotel, please meet by the black gate to the left. Before you go, please make sure you have spoken to a front desk agent in our office about your admission to Drayton Hall. THIS confirmation serves as your proof of purchase for the gate at Drayton Hall. You are welcome to print it or show it on your phone. You are able to show up there without a reservation and you will be placed on the next available tour time. If there are any questions, please give us a call at 843-722-8687.

Drayton Hall
Open Wednesday - Monday
One-hour guided house tour is available each open day at 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
Cancellation Policy
**Once purchased, tickets can be rescheduled or refunded with 24 hours notice. Should you purchase trip protection, tickets are able to be refunded up to one hour in advance of tour time.
** If you have booked a private tour, please see the terms listed on your contract.
Activity takes place rain or shine.
The activity runs regardless of weather conditions. In the rare situation where the seller is forced to cancel the event, ticket-holders will be allowed to reschedule to another time (subject to availability).
