Itinerary: 1. Check-In & Orientation: Gear up and get paddling tips before heading out.
2. Bay Paddle : Cross the bay, enjoying open views and spotting marine life.
3. Mangrove River & Tunnel: Paddle through winding mangroves and spot starfish in the clear water.
4. Salt Flats Exploration: Discover the backcountry, home to small sharks, stingrays, and tropical fish.
5. Return Journey: Head back through the mangroves and tunnel, with possible extra exploration based on conditions, then paddle across the bay to the marina.
Please note that our tour route in Sugarloaf Key depends on the tide. If the water is too low or too high, your guide may adjust the route to ensure the best experience. No matter the path, you’ll still enjoy stunning views and a unique adventure through the Florida Keys!

What to Bring: * Water (preferably in a reusable water bottle)
* Sunscreen (apply before boarding your kayak)
* Bug Spray (apply before boarding your kayak)
* Swimsuit/clothes that you don’t mind getting a little wet
* Jackets/windbreakers are recommended during the winter months
* Shoes that can get wet/sandals
* Towel for after the trip
* Any extra gear you’d like! Remember – the less gear, the more visibility through the kayak!
Special Requirements: * Reservations are required for all tours.
* The weight limit is 425 pounds per kayak and no more than 250 pounds per person. Each of our kayaks are doubles (tandem).
* Each Child (3-17 years old) must be accompanied by an adult.
Restrictions: * You must have upper-body mobility and the capability of paddling a kayak to participate.
* This activity is not recommended for pregnant women in their third trimester.
* Alcohol is prohibited on the tour.

Before the tour
- Waivers: Please sign the waiver in advance. You’ll find the link in an email titled “Action required for your kayak tour.”
- Safety Briefing: Included in the waiver is a safety video that covers important information required by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission. Please watch the video before completing your waivers.
- Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time to ensure a timely departure.
- Traffic Alert: Please plan ahead for possible traffic on the Overseas Highway.
What to bring
- Water: Remember to bring water, preferably in a reusable bottle.
- Sunscreen: Apply sunscreen before your tour. Applying sunscreen onboard is not permitted to maintain the clarity of our kayaks.
- Bug Spray: Apply bug spay before your tour. Please do not apply on the back of your legs. Applying bug spray onboard is not permitted to maintain the clarity of our kayaks.
- Clothes that can get wet: For warmer days, consider wearing bathing suits or exercise clothing complemented by hats and sunglasses. For cooler days, consider bringing a light jacket or windbreaker. Shoes aren’t allowed to be worn inside the kayak.
Tour policies
- No Alcohol: Alcohol is not permitted on the tour.
- Lifejackets: Lifejackets are provided and are required to be worn for the duration of the tour.
- Weight Restriction: Our equipment’s weight limit is no more than 250 pounds per person AND no more than 425 pounds for a combined weight limit for two persons in a tandem kayak.
As a friendly reminder, our guides work on generosity from tips. If you haven’t already included gratuity at the time of booking, our guides very much appreciate a cash tip! We like to say, “If you enjoyed your ride, tip your guide!”

Cancellation Policy
If Get Up And Go Kayaking cancels a trip due to inclement weather, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
If you cancel your trip within 72 hours of the tour time, you will not be refunded or rescheduled unless you have purchased Trip Protection. If you have purchased Trip Protection, you can cancel your tour by emailing or calling and leaving a message up until 12 hours prior to departure.
If you cancel your trip more than 72 hours prior to the tour time, you can cancel, reschedule, or receive a full refund.
If you do not arrive on time or are a no-show participant, you will be charged the full price of the tour. This includes showing up with fewer paddlers than the original amount booked for.
