Faqs: Q. How much food is served?
A. Up to 8 samples that amount to a filling lunch.
Q. I want to join your tour, but I don't eat meat. Can I still buy a ticket?
A. Yes, everyone is welcome to buy a ticket, but we do not accommodate dietary restrictions or aversions. Five of the 8 samples will contain meat/seafood. Four of those 5 dishes will contain pork. The only non-meat dishes are the hot sauce samples, the traditional praline, and a fried plantain dish.
Q. I am allergic to shellfish. Can you accommodate that?
A. Yes, only 1 dish features shellfish and we will provide a substitute for you. Unfortunately it is the gumbo.
Q. I am allergic to tree nuts. Can you accommodate that?
A. Yes, we can offer a substitute to our 2 dishes with pecans. However, please note that technically there is the chance of cross-contamination with anything prepared in the candy shops we visit.
Q. I am allergic to onions/garlic/peppers/dairy. Can you accommodate that?
A. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate any of those allergies as it would require redesigning nearly the entire menu. For info on other allergies please reach out to us directly on our CONTACT page.
Q. If I don't drink cocktails, can I order beers or wines instead?
A. Sorry, but we have a set menu of historic cocktails, and do not facilitate substitutions. However, if you are pregnant or don't drink alcohol for other reasons, we are happy to arrange mocktails instead of cocktails.
Q. How much walking is involved?
A. This tour covers 1.5 miles, and is conducted at a moderate pace. Historically, guests with walking difficulties have struggled to keep pace with and finish the tour.
Q. What happens if it rains?
A. We conduct the tour rain or shine. During more severe weather incidents we review on a case by case basis. If we are forced to cancel we provide full refunds.
Q. I missed my flight / broke my leg / got food poisoning / flight was canceled / etc., can I get a refund or reschedule?
A. We provide a 100% refund for any cancellation made 24 hours or more prior to a tour. Within 24 hours we do not provide refunds or reschedules, regardless of circumstance. This is not negotiable.
Q. Can we bring our kids that are underage, even if they don't drink?
A. Sorry, but no. This is strictly a 21+ tour.
Q. What should I wear? Are there any dress codes?
A. There are no dress codes at any venues. Dress as comfortably as you'd like.
