The Creole Kids Tour takes kids back to the "Golden Era" of New Orleans, the 1830s.

We'll find out what life was like for kids back Then: free vs. enslaved, American vs. Creole, boys vs. girls. ​The good, the bad, the weird and the gross. We've got it all! (And, of course, maps, primary sources and props.) Kids come along on an unforgettable 19th century adventure!

When possible, this tour also includes a visit inside the beautiful Hermann-Grima House courtyard and slave quarters.

Meeting Spot:
The tour begins on the corner of Decatur and Dumaine Street, a block down from Cafe du Monde (moving away from Canal Street). There is a little water fountain there of musicians playing music. It's in "Dutch Alley" which is full of artists' shops and a public restroom. The google maps meeting spot is here:

There is limited, free (and meter) parking throughout the French Quarter but allow time to circle around. If you prefer a longer stay, there are paid parking lots on the perimeter of the Quarter, along Decatur Street, Elysian Fields Ave, and Rampart Street.
