About the Tour
Learning to dive is fun and safe, but we need to follow proper procedures to keep it so. We start the Discovery Dive experience with a little reading and short briefing with your instructor, so you know what to expect in the ocean. Then you'll head to the water to practice what you've learned and dive!
As a diver you'll learn that the early bird gets the worm. Please arrive on time for your dive experience. You can expect for the whole process to take around 3 hours with approximately 1 hour spent underwater.
Location
This is a shore dive, you meet at the shop and we walk into the ocean close by.
Diver Requirements
- 10 years old
- Can get cleared for the PADI Medical
- Can carry 35 LB of gear into the ocean.
- Comfortable swimming in the Ocean.
- Please no spray sunscreen.

- Towel
- Completed coursework
Cancellation Policy
- There is a 48 hour cancellation policy on all cancellations and rescheduling of dives. Dive Maui is not responsible for cancellations due to a guests' failure to complete coursework needed before a dive or for illness.
- Tour is subject to cancellation or reschedule due to weather or capacity.

Parking:There is parking in the lot in front of the shop and overflow parking along the street across from the shop.
What to bring: Bathing suit, towel, hat, reef safe sunscreen, any dive or snorkel gear you own, and a smile.
Additional Information:
We are excited to go diving with you! Please make sure that each member of your group has completed the PADI eLearning prior to your dive. If someone has not completed the eLearning prior to the time of your experience you will not be able to dive. It can be completed on a phone or computer using the following links:

Dive Maui will provide you with all the scuba equipment you need to complete your Discover Scuba Dive. There is no extra charge for the use of our rental equipment. We even include mask and fins with your rental equipment at no extra charge. If you decide that you’d like to purchase your own mask and fins after the class, we have a wide variety of options in our retail store. It is great to have your own mask and fins as you’ll want to travel with these items in the future to make sure all of your diving or snorkeling experiences are comfortable and fit you perfectly!
Please note you will be required to fill out a medical release online before diving. If you're concerned about your health please give us a call. Answering "yes" to a question on the medical may prevent you from diving or require a note from a doctor, but will not be refunded if inside the 48 hour window of your dive. You are not allowed to go to elevation above 1000 feet or fly 12 hours after your dive, this includes visiting Haleakala and many of the small towns upcountry.

Cancellation Policy
48 Hour Cancellation Policy strictly enforced! Due to our group size limitations on some activities, we cannot absorb the cost of people canceling at the last minute, when we are turning away people from tours or classes that day. Coast Guard, County, and Dive Agency regulations dictate the number of clients aboard or on the beach each day. When you give us your credit card information to hold a reservation, you are agreeing to the following cancellation terms and conditions:
If the cancellation notification is received less than 24 hours from the start of the tour or class there will be a 100% cancellation fee charged to your credit card.
Cancellations can be made via email at dive@goscubadivemaui.com and must be confirmed by a member of our staff before they are accepted.
If you do not arrive on time for your trip and the groups has departed, you will be charged in full. Please arrive on time. Our trips depart on time and we do not want to leave without you.
Dive Maui cancellation policy supersedes all previous credit card agreements you have with your credit card company.
