Additional Info
Thank you for your enrollment to the certification programs.
Please call us during the business hours from 7am to 7pm PST Hawaii time to let us assist which actual classes you plan to schedule. This a confirmation for your enrollment to the certification training. This does not automatically schedule the actual classes unless instructed otherwise.
For Open Water Referral Program, please email info@waikikidiving.com your PADI Open Water Diver Course Record and Referral Form dive log that is signed off by a dive instructor showing that your confined water session has been completed. We also require your e-learning diver number so that your subsequent training will be submitted under that diver number. Please also provide your completed medical statement and questionnaire. Your class enrollment will not be valid until we acknowledge all the pre-requisite paperwork has already been complete and cleared. We will not be able to commence your training classes without receiving all the pre-requisite paperwork. It is student's responsibility to ensure all the pre-requisite paperwork is received by the shop. Students agree to take full responsibilities for any omitted medical condition that leads to negative experience.
All students must complete the knowledge areas of the PADI E-learning prior to booking or attending the first class. This is important for the student to have a productive and interactive learning experience.

· Motion Sickness Medication (We offer in store for sale)

If you are scuba diving: You cannot fly and dive on the same day. Depending on the diving depth, you are advised to wait a minimum of 14-24 hours, we recommend 18 hours after your dive before boarding an airplane. It can increase your risk of Decompression Sickness or "the bends" due to decreased ambient pressure on the plane. If you do any dives, please inform the shop if you are going to catching a flight within 18-24 hours after the dive trip. If you have a medical condition, please consult with your doctor prior to go diving.
Important Policy Information and Disclaimer:
Please kindly be advised that safety is not only important, it is the priority in everything we do.
While safety comes firstly, fun always follows. Please plan and reserve your dive schedules accordingly. Do not consume alcohol or anything that may cause drowsy, lethargic or impaired decision making before attending the activities. We reserve the right to deny attending activities for any divers or snorkelers for any reason. No refund or free rescheduling will be extended.
Cancellations due to absence of required Medical Statement after the cancellation period forfeit any reimbursement.
Class Schedules: Please arrive 30 mins prior to the start time of your scheduled class. If you are unable to make your class, we require 48 hours advanced notice to change or cancel. If you are late for over 15 mins after the start time of your scheduled class, your instructor will not be able to wait longer. Your class will start without you and you will be responsible for pro-rated class cost in addition to reschedule the make up class. Cancellation, change, medical issues, late check-in or reschedule requests made less than 48 hours in advance will incur in full class charges, see Certification and Training Cancellation for more details. For example, a 3-day certification program, it is $250 additional fee for failed-to-attend the first day class including but not limited to late check-in beyond 15 mins, no show, absence in medical clearance and/or without completion of the required e-learning. Unless cancelled by Waikiki Dive Center, if a student aborts the certification program, there is no refund for the program as we had already blocked the instructor's time and turned away other students to attend the class.
Certifications: You must complete all your e-learning prior to come to your first day class. Otherwise, the instructor may reserve the right to deny admission as the class may take a lot longer for unprepared student. Feel free to maximize training efficiencies and obtain multiple eligible certifications concurrently, Nitrox, Boat Dive, Deep and PPB, or Wreck and Rescue etc. Our course director and instructors are certified to train PADI specialties in all levels. You may sign up for different training certifications, but don't forget to ask if multiple specialties can be trained concurrently to save time. Your tuition pays each of the dives as per required by PADI certification program. If a student needs to repeat a class, there will be additional cost for repeat. Request with 48 hours advanced cancellation notice for remainder classes and packages will be processed as following: a) PADI E-learning is non-refundable. b) Remainder classes and dive packages are refunded based on the net learning value. The first class session is the most intensive part of the certification by theory, content and lectures. The first day class weights 50% of the entire program learning.
Safety and Quality in Ratio Standards: Waikiki Dive Center has an exemplary safety record since 1979. Per PADI standard, we conduct small groups for divers by level of experience. One dive master takes about six experienced or certified divers. The non-certified beginners or new students will be grouped at 4:1 ratio with a dedicated instructor separately. If you prefer to dive exclusively with your party, we offer private instructor option at $180 per each four-diver group increment.
+Marine Life: The diverse marine life that live in the sea are affected by ocean conditions, seasonal changes, feeding trends and other uncontrollable factors. While our experienced and knowledgeable crew make all reasonable efforts to find specific ocean dwellers, no guarantees are made for their presence.
+Weather: All divers must understand and accept the risk of weather changes that our crew have to cancel the dive or cut the dive short. Our most experienced crew has kept an exemplary safety record for over 44 years. No one wants bad weather and no one has control over weather changes. The purpose of your booking is diving. We are committed to do anything we can in fulfilling our guest's wishes. See cancellation policy for more details.
Waikiki Dive Center's team is an active ocean steward. We recommend coral safe sun lotion to help save the last 1% of the coral in the ocean. Not sure which one is coral safe sunscreen? Click here for more information (https://savethereef.org/assets/images/toxic.jpg). Coral is home for many marine life to live on in the vast ecosystem.

Cancellation Policy
Please plan your dive trip accordingly. You are required to review and understand the following procedure and policy before booking. You are responsible for initiating the change and cancellation directly with a phone call to the Waikiki Dive Center. We do not accept email cancellations:
1. Must plan your dive 18 hours before a flight
2. Must pass the PADI medical questionnaire. If you have any medical conditions, please check with your medical caregiver or a nearby local clinic and obtain their consent to go diving—email info@waikikidiving.com with the consent letter by check-in. Failure to do so could prevent you from diving. This is for your safety concerns.
3. Must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled check-in time. We will wait another 15 minutes after the check-in time to stay on schedule. If you miss the 15-minute check-in window, your trip will be automatically canceled in total booking charges.
4. You must reschedule or cancel (up to 4 divers) 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time for a full refund.
5. For private charters or groups of 5 or more, cancellation is free until 21 days before your dive schedule, regardless of the booking time. Know that we blocked the entire trip for the reservation and prevented any other customers from booking. Failure to call us to cancel before the 21 days before the scheduled trip will forfeit all reimbursement.
6. Dive Package is a pre-paid special for certified divers at our lowest flat rate that can be used all year round. The Dive Package is valid per certified diver for two years from the day of purchase. The Dive package is non-refundable, but you can reschedule or cancel with 48 hours of notice in advance.
The dive package dives can only be rescheduled for weather, acts of God, and safety-related cancellations. No refunds or credit will be issued. The trip protection insurance is not offered; hence, it is not applicable for dive package deals. The advanced 48-hour notice is required for complimentary rescheduling. Or else the trip will be forfeited.
To avoid confusion, guests must call the shop at 808-922-2121 for any cancellation request during regular business hours between 7 am and 7 pm PST. Any change request left on voicemail or social messaging platforms or sent via email may not be addressed promptly and, hence, invalid. We do not have 24/7 email monitoring to answer any last-minute changes (within 48 hours of the tour).
Free Cancellations and Free Changes:
Reservations for four or fewer guests were booked directly with Waikiki Dive Center through our shop or our website; if canceled over the phone with at least 48 hours advance notice, guests will not be charged. A full refund will be issued within 24 hours of acknowledgment. All bookings (including but not limited to classes, last-minute walk-ins, private guides, and dive trips) made 48 hours or less in advance cannot be canceled and changed without forfeiting the full fee of the bookings.
Trip Alterations to Cancellations:
Waikiki Dive Center has an exemplary safety record. We reserve all right to alter trip details or cancel trips if necessary for any reason, including but not limited to adverse weather, unpredictable ocean conditions during the dive, minimum passenger requirements, or other related safety conditions.
To ensure safety, our highly experienced captains track the daily weather closely as cancellations are made on a trip-by-trip basis and may be determined close to the check-in time, even up to the departure time. As we do our best to inform all guests regarding the weather and ocean conditions ahead of time, it may be out of anyone's control that the weather and ocean conditions worsen after the boat departs the dock. Booking may not be refunded, but just like taking a flight, if Waikiki Dive Center must cancel a booking because of safety concerns due to inclement weather conditions, RESCHEDULING will be offered to a non-expiring rain-check voucher to make another trip. A rain-check voucher is issued only if the Captain ends the tour early under suddenly "un-divable" conditions after the boat heads out to the dive location and returns without diving. As much of the planning cost had occurred during the planning and gearing process, should a guest require a voucher, only 50% rain-check credit may be issued to a non-expiring gift card if/when the Captain ends the tour under the suddenly "un-divable" conditions. Contact us by phone to inquire about a cancellation. We welcome your feedback to help us improve. Please let us know how we can improve your experience by emailing us.
