About
Join us for a fabulous snorkel where we enjoy sea creatures like the octopus, sea stars, and turtles. A guide will be in the water with you to help you discover the beauty of the reef that most people miss. An added bonus for this trip, the dolphins are usually around! Before heading to the snorkel, we like to go to the area the dolphins are hanging in and enjoy them from the boat. Some laws have changed regarding the dolphins, so it is a priority for us to honor the laws in place to continue to protect and respect these remarkable creatures.

Additional Info
Aloha! We are looking forward to hosting you on a fabulous dolphin viewing and sustainable snorkel encounter! Here's what you need to know:
What to wear?
- Flip flops/sandals (we ask footwear be removed just before boarding the boat to protect the floor)
- Wear a swimsuit and whatever outer clothing you need to protect you from the elements (usually strong sun and on occasion slightly windy conditions) such as hat, sunglasses, long-sleeved shirt.
- We recommend you apply sunscreen before you board Da Whale Boat. As an environmentally conscious company we ask only REEF-SAFE SUNSCREEN be used.
What to bring?
- REEF SAFE sunscreen. Please ensure the tube says reef-SAFE sunscreen. Reef-friendly is not the same as reef safe. (We have locally made reef-safe sunscreen available on-board for purchase. Alternately, skip the sunscreen and wear a rash guard swim shirt :)
- A water bottle for each member of your party. We do not encourage the use of single use plastics.
- A towel or sarong
- We have snorkels, masks, fins & flotation devices available however, if you prefer, bring your own gear.
- Camera/Go-Pro
Pack light as storage space is limited on the boat. Dry bags are available if you need to safely tuck cell phones and/or cameras away.
We serve light snacks, fresh fruit, sparkling water and fruit juice on board.
There is a bathroom on the boat, however, we recommend you use the restroom facilities at the boat ramp before the trip begins.
We have a hydrophone on board to listen for dolphin sonar frequencies, clicks and squeaks.
Our experienced crew will converse with you to establish your comfort levels in an underwater environment and tailor make your guided reef adventure based on your abilities/previous snorkeling experience.
Gratuity tips to our hardworking crew are not expected but very much appreciated. You can pay cash directly to the crew at the end of the trip or we accept VENMO. You can find us on Venmo under Business @dawhaleboat
Captain Kelsey has 10 years experience. If she is not there, she has the best captain and crew in town, fully experienced to handle things while she's off studying whales in Alaska.
Fun items can be purchased on our website before or after the trip. We will have some of these items available for purchase at the boat as well. You can find items at www.moimoimarket.com
