For a sport that originated in Canada, Axe Throwing has been spreading through the United States as a hot new entertainment alternative.
American Axes is ready to get you into this unique and rewarding sport! Axe Throwing is easy to learn and more fun with friends — so bring your whole crew!
Spend an hour throwing axes at a target to score points and strive to beat the competition. Our coaches will demonstrate proper throwing form, and be available to you to provide guidance throughout your experience. Axe Throwing is about finesse, not strength of the thrower, so anyone can join in and take away the winning title.
"Full Facility Buyout" means you reserve the entire facility for your event and get to use all 6 of our Axe Throwing Lanes!
What to Know
- Closed-toe shoes are required.
- You will not be paired with other groups.
- We share a wall with Barquentine Brewing. While we don't sell beer, we encourage you to grab a drink from their bar and bring it over. Edgewater Public Market is an open container facility.

We are PUMPED to host you and your party at American Axes! We want your experience to be EPIC and regardless of your skill level or familiarity with axe throwing, we are confident that your time with us will be memorable. Axe Throwing is safe, easy and fun and we mean it!
Some things to keep in mind before you arrive:
- Edgewater Public Market is an open container facility. We share a wall with Barquentine Brewing. While we don’t sell beer, we encourage you to open a tab with the brewery for your group to be able to enjoy drinks while throwing axes.
- If you're hungry the market has over 15 food stalls with something for everyone and you are welcome to enjoy food while throwing axes.
- Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time to allow enough time to get signed in and meet your coach.
- We start every experience promptly at the beginning of the hour and conclude as scheduled. If for some reason you are running late, please call us and we can re-schedule you for a different time based on our availability. We consider parties more than 15 minutes late as a no-show and we give the lane to others to spread out.
- Closed toed shoes only! We won’t be able to let you participate otherwise.
- Your party will be assigned a coach or Axepert if you like puns. Our coaches are all trained axe throwers and will be available to your party throughout your experience.
- Like a guided tour, tipping is not required, but is greatly appreciated!
