What to expect

We are excited to welcome you to our upcoming Farm& Food Experience at Common Ground! Here you will find all of the need to know information for joining us.

The walking tour meanders through our demonstration food forest designed by our Director of Agroecology, John Parziale. We’ll explore a collection of exotic and delicious foods brought to Hawai`i from all corners of the globe. Coffee, pineapple, tree tomato, kava, mamak'i, heart of palm, papaya, bananas, and more! More importantly it demonstrates a model for how food can be grown in harmony(regeneratively) with nature.

After the walk through the farm our chef will speak about the food that will served. An Island-to-Table meal featuring 100% local ingredients sourced from our farm as well as our other favorite Kauai farms. Wine, beer, craft cocktails are available for purchase.

Sudden downpours are typical on the north shore of Kauai. the beginning of the tour is outside. Please plan accordingly! Rain gear, sun protection, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Other Considerations

Endangered Species: We have several species of endangered and protected animals making a home at Common Ground, including the nene (Hawaiian Goose). Please drive slowly and respect our friendly residents with distance.

Please be mindful when driving down Kuawa Road, we are located at the very end of a residential area so please drive slowly through our neighborhood. Mahalo!

Parking
After passing through our gates at the end of Kuawa road, park on grass island immediately in front of our reception building.
