2.5 Hours • Take It To The Next Level
Duration
2.5 Hour Session [2 Consecutive Sessions]
About
Fly FOX1 & then FOX2
FOX1: Leave the civilian life behind and step into the world of the fighter pilot. Be sure to listen closely in the class where you’ll learn the important stuff. Once in your cockpit, adjust your headset and you’ll be cleared for take off. When you hear “Fight’s On, Fight’s On” – it’s furball time and we’re keeping score! Fly high, fly low, try everything to prevent being hit. Finally, try to catch your breath before you land your jet and then join the instructor for your scoring debrief. 1 Hr 15 Minute Session [30 Min Class & 30 Min Flight]
FOX2: This is your opportunity to take everything you learned in the FOX1 experience and apply it in a scenario that takes you to the next level dogfighting against Russian and Chinese Air Force fighter jets. Participants choose to fly individually against these Aggressors and each other or work together as a team against the Russians; plus there's a good chance that one of Flightdeck’s instructors will join the aggressor team. Don't worry, he’ll take it easy on you, maybe. Once the dogfight session ends you’ll hear “knock it off, knock it off” from OpCon and it’s time to land. To take it to the next level - you’ll be landing on a carrier again, but this time at night, and possibly with poor weather conditions. In conclusion, we only have one thing to say – good luck. Because you're going need it…
Package with FOX 2 flown after FOX 1.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any age and height requirements?
- Due to the nature and amount of information given in the pre-flight briefing and the ergonomics of the cockpits, the minimum age is 11 and minimum height is 4′ 11.″ We have no maximum age, however pilots do need to be able to climb up a four-step ladder and climb into the cockpit as well as climb out at the end of their flight.
Are there any height and weight limitations?
- We have had professional basketball players fly successfully (David Robinson at 7’1″). We normally suggest a weight limit of 300 pounds as an upper limit.
How should I dress for my flight?
- We suggest wearing light clothing since you will be putting on a flight suit and might get fairly warm.
Do I need to have any experience?
- No experience is needed. We provide all of the training you will need in our 30 minute pre-flight briefing. During your flight you will be on aviation headsets with our Air Traffic Control personnel who will answer any questions or remind you of anything you may have forgotten or missed in the briefing.
Is there an observation area where people who aren't participating can watch?
- Yes, we have an Officer’s Club where anybody can watch and listen to the exciting action on video monitors while sitting on comfortable sofas and chairs.
