Accessibility: No charge for wheelchair patrons. Some buildings are accessible by ramp. Due to the age of the buildings, some are not accessible with wheelchair. Main street is gravel, there are grassy areas as well. We have a wheelchair onsite that is free to use.
Description: Curious about experiencing a slice of frontier life? South Dakota's 1880 Town offers you a chance to stroll through a meticulously recreated historic town complete with authentic buildings and relics from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It's a step into the past you won't want to miss. When you visit 1880 Town, you're not just seeing history; you're living it. This authentic townscape brings the old West to life with a collection ranging from Indian relics to a bustling 14-sided barn. You can even rent and don period costumes to fully immerse yourself in the experience!
We are located on Interstate 90 at Exit 170, 22 miles west of Murdo and about 60 miles east of Wall. We are open May through October during daylight hours (off-season hours vary).

Extras: - We have a large parking lot specifically for RVs, Semi Trucks and oversized vehicles.
- Pets are allowed as long as they are on a leash.

Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
