Have you always wanted to swim like a mermaid, but not sure if you’re ready for the full SSI Mermaid courses? Or perhaps you and your child want to experience the magical world of mermaiding together, but they’re too young to qualify for the SSI mermaid course offerings. Look no further than the Try Mermaid course offered by Crystal River Watersports! Experience swimming in a monofin and tail as you embark on your mermaiding journey. Recognized by the SSI as the introduction to becoming a mermaid or merman, it’s a great way to get your proverbial fins wet starting in a confined water setting to allow you to build a positive experience and learn the basics before you explore more mermaid options.

The SSI Try Mermaid program is your introduction to the world of mermaids and mermen and to swimming with a mermaid monofin. This entry-level program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world in a confined water setting. You will earn the SSI Try Mermaid recognition rating.
What is Included: We include all of the gear such as the Tails, MonoFins, Masks and wetsuits if needed for the course!
What is not Included: Bathing suits and towels.
Restrictions: Must be 6 years or older to participate and have full swimming capabilities and comfort in the water.
