Field camp riverside along the banks of the Jackson River with your group as you enjoy the scenic Jackson River. This field camping spot is great for groups staying in our area for a day or two while you paddle or bike the scenic Jackson River Bike Trail or Blueway. Restrooms with flushing toilets available in close proximity to camping locations.

Note This campground has a locked gate to maintain privacy. Registed campers can drive into the camping group camping area below the outfitter shop and set up sites in the grass along the banks of the Jackson River.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT TIMES:
The check in time is any time after 2PM, with check out time by 11AM the morning of the last day of your stay.
WATER & UTILITIES:
There are 2 public restrooms at the outfitter building that will be open and available during your stay. A drinking fountain with water bottle filling station s available at the top of the hill at the bike trail head parking area. Trash cans and dumpsters are also located around the property.
CAMP GROUND RULES
1) Advance reservations are required for use of all campsites. Please print and bring a copy of your campsite confirmation email and present upon request a proof of your camp ground reservation.
2) Camp site quiet hours are between 9 pm - 8 am. No loud music permitted any time.
3) No fire arms & fireworks of any kind permitted. All camp sites are on private property with other campers and property owners living nearby. For a variety of safety reasons (near by homes, cattle, other campers, etc.) absolutely no fire arms or fireworks of any kind are permitted at the paddle in camp sites.
4) Open consumption of Alcohol is NOT permitted as this is a County Park facility. All applicable laws vigorously enforced.
5) Use the designated fire ring at the campsites. Please do not create additional fire rings if there is already one available. Campers should bring fire wood or charcoal as there is no supply at the campsites. Fires are permitted as allowed. Remove all trash from fire ring prior to departing.
8) Camp ground will close for high water. Do not plan to paddle and camp if the river is at a threatening level. The camp grounds close to paddle in customers when the river is above 6.0 feet on the USGS Buchanan James River gauge, and will close to drive in customers when the river is above 8.0 feet on the Buchanan USGS gauge. Full refunds given as appropriate during periods of high water.
9) Campsites are located in a wilderness setting, all camping done at own risk. Owners and managers not responsible for accidents.
Cancellation Policy
Customers will receive a full refund with 3 days advance notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund in cases where Alleghany Outdoors cancels the trip due to high water levels or severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances as deemed appropriate by the Outfitter. No refunds provided with less than 3 days advance notice provided. No-shows will be charged the full price.
