Colorado Adventure Guides is permitted to operate in a variety of terrain in several adjacent counties, which allows us to access a many zones for trips. Typically we confirm our destinations about two weeks before the actual course to make sure we have the most appropriate terrain for the trip. Some of our favorite mountain areas Include:
Guided Wildflower Hikes
Experience wildflower season in Colorado! Depending on timing, all hikes will feature Colorado wildflowers. However, some hikes are better than others for the flower lover. If you want to focus your adventure on meadows of Colorado Columbine, Scarlett Paintbrushes, Alpine Sunflowers, Elephant Flowers, Bellflowers, and more, then we know a few little special stashes. Bring your camera and your wildflower identifier, and you’ll fill a memory card with colorful photos and memories! No matter your experience or fitness level, there is something for you!
Guided Alpine Lake Hikes
Colorado's mountains are home to beautiful high alpine lake hikes. We offer a variety of lake hikes that range from short family friendly routes to more aggressive, steeper climbs. Join one of our friendly guides to experience a Rocky Mountain high alpine lake.
Fall Color Hikes
Due to our high elevation, the Breckenridge, Winter Park, Frisco, and Vail areas are some of the first places in the country where the leaves begin to change color. We start to see the fall colors turn in early to mid-September. That is when it's best to head the trails and embark on scenic hikes to see the vibrant colors of green, orange, and yellow coming together on hillsides, valleys, and around town.
Iconic Colorado Hikes
Experience a walk in the woods on an iconic trail. Our trail options provide great views and different experiences for hikers of all levels. Whether you opt for the Colorado Trail experience, or the stunning vistas of the Wheeler National Recreation Trail, or Peaks trail, or another, you will not be disappointed.
