Experience Colorado's World Class Hiking!

About Your Hike

Colorado is one of the top hiking destinations in the world. The trails we guide that wind around Summit, Clear Creek, and Grand counties (near the Breckenridge, Vail, Winter Park, Frisco and Silverthorne areas) back that reputation up. Hiking is a fun activity that everyone enjoys and requires no special skills. With dozens of great trails in our own backyard to choose from, where do you start?

Colorado Adventure Guides’ guided tours eliminate the guesswork and save time. Let us show you the way to the perfect Colorado hiking trail that fits your ability and adventure requirements. We offer half day and full day hiking options for all experience and fitness levels. Our professional guides share knowledge of mountain history and geography across an impressive portfolio of trails. Explore mountain vistas, aspen groves, timberline lakes, evergreen forests, wildflower-blanketed meadows, and waterfalls. Hikes vary with the seasons, but there is always a destination worth experiencing. Each time of the year is Unique: wildflower, alpine lakes, fall colors, or iconic landmark tours, we have something for everyone!

Area Info

Colorado Adventure Guides is permitted to operate in a variety of terrain in several adjacent counties, which allows us to access a variety of zones for courses. We confirm our destinations a few days before the actual trip to make sure we have the most appropriate terrain for the trip. Some of our favorite mountain areas Include:

Guided Wildflower Hikes

Experience wildflower season in Colorado! Depending on timing, all of our hikes feature Colorado wildflowers. However, some hikes are better than others for the flower lover. If you want to focus your adventure on meadows of Colorado Columbine, Scarlett Paintbrushes, Alpine Sunflowers, Elephant Flowers and Bellflowers, and more, then we know a few little special stashes. Bring your camera and your wildflower identifier, and you’ll be sure to fill a memory card with colorful photos and memories! No matter your experience or fitness level, there is something for you!

Guided Alpine Lake Hikes

Our backyard is home to some of the most beautiful high alpine lake hikes in Colorado. We offer a variety of alpine lake hikes that range from short family friendly routes to more aggressive, steeper climbs. Join one of our friendly guides to experience a Rocky Mountain high alpine lake.

Fall Color Hikes

Because of our high elevation, our mountains are some of the first places in the country where leaves change color each fall. We start to see the fall colors turn in early to mid-September. This is when it's best to head the trails and embark on scenic hikes to see the vibrant colors of green, orange, and yellow come together on hillsides, valleys, and around town.

Iconic Colorado Hikes

Walk in the woods on one of our iconic trails. Our trail options provide great views and different experiences for hikers of all levels. Whether you opt for the Colorado Trail experience, or the stunning vistas of the Wheeler National Recreation Trail, Peaks trail, or any of a number of other trails near the continental divide, you will not be disappointed.
