Ascend Richmond's magnificent Capitol Hill with your Ghost Host and you'll find out that it's not just elected officials and security guards who patrol the hallowed halls of Virginia's legislative and executive seat of power, but something beyond this world - something experienced by an amazing number and variety of people over the years. Packed with haunted history, this tour includes several of Richmond's best known ghost stories, Including: Our Haunted Executive Mansion, the Great Theatre Fire, spirits in Capitol Square, and more!

Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour departure time.
- Remember to wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
- Still photography is encouraged, but video recording is strictly prohibited.
- Restroom facilities are not readily available during the tour. Please plan accordingly.
- Street parking is available within a block or two of the tour's starting location. Paid off-street parking is available at several nearby locations, including the parking lots around Main Street Station at 1500 East Main Street, the parking garage at 111 South 12th Street, and the parking garage at 100 Virginia Street.
- Our tour meets outside the Berkeley Hotel, featuring Chefs Kitchen Restaurant. Chefs Kitchen is open Tuesday thru Sunday and we encourage you to partake in their hospitality before or after the tour by enjoying some of their amazing food and beverage offerings. Tell them that you are there for a Haunts of Richmond ghost tour and receive 10% off of your food purchase! What to bring:
- Wear good walking shoes. Flat, closed-toe shoes are highly recommended

- Umbrellas: We will be outside, rain or shine
- Anything weather appropriate for your comfort
Other notes:
- Please plan arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour to check-in.
- Intoxicated individuals will be asked to leave the tour and no refunds will be issued.
- Guides do accept and appreciate tips, but they are not required or expected by any means.
- This is not a haunted house attraction. Jump scares are not a part of this tour, or any Haunts of Richmond event. The spirits are also not on the payroll, so ghostly appearances are not guaranteed.
- We encourage everyone to join us with an open mind and to have fun!
Cancellation Policy
By purchasing tickets from Haunts of Richmond, you agree to the following cancellation policy:
- All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable within 24 hours of the scheduled tour time.
- With a minimum of 24 hours notice, tickets may be transferred to another tour one time.
- With a minimum of 24 hours notice, cancellation requests can receive a 100% credit to be used on a future tour in the form of a digital gift card. If a monetary refund is requested, a 25% surcharge will be withheld from the ticket purchase. Merchandise purchases will be refunded in full.
- Please verify all tour selections with your entire party before booking. We understand that people can overbook themselves, get tired, get lost, or change their minds, but no exceptions will be made to the above rules.
Haunts of Richmond Severe Weather Policy:
Our tours run rain or shine, except in cases of extreme weather as determined at the sole discretion of Haunts of Richmond management. In the rare event that Haunts of Richmond must cancel a tour, we will call you and give you the option of a full refund or rescheduling. Full refunds will not be offered unless Haunts of Richmond cancels the tour.
