PLEASE READ THE CONFIRMATION CAREFULLY!
THERE IS DIFFERENT INFORMATION DEPENDING ON YOUR TOUR!
You're welcome to bring this confirmation with you to the tour as proof of reservations, or you can show it to your guide on your mobile device!
OUR DIFFERENT TOURS:
Haunted History Walking Tour
Haunted History Bus Tour
Ghost Hunter's Tour
ALL TOURS DEPART FROM:
The Mineral Springs Hotel in Alton
301 East Broadway Downtown
All of Alton Hauntings Tours depart from inside the Mineral Springs Hotel at 301 East Broadway in downtown Alton. Attendees are recommended to arrive about 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. There are restrooms available and guests will also have access to the American Hauntings Vault, which offers books, shirts, and other items.
WHERE SHOULD WE PARK?
There is free parking available on the street or in the designated parking lots downtown. There are no parking limits at the time of night when the tours will be taking place, so there's no need to worry about tickets for parking too long.
DO WE GET PRINTED TICKETS?
No, but this confirmation form can be printed out to bring with you. We did add your name on the master list for the night's tour, but it's always better to be safe. You can also show us the email on your smart phone, as well. When you arrive for the tour, all you need to do is give your name to the guide and they will get you checked in.
CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK IF I DON'T COME?
Sorry, but no, ALL reservations are non-refundable, just like any concert or event. All of the tours are sold on a first come / first served basis and we cannot re-sell reservations that are not used. Once you purchase the reservations, they're yours. You can give them away or sell them to someone else, but we don't offer refunds.
We will re-schedule you if you cannot make the date for some reason, but we do require a 48 HOUR notice to change the date. Re-schedules must be made via email and we will be happy to credit you for a future tour.
IF YOU BOOKED THE HAUNTED HISTORY OR THE GHOST HUNTER'S TOUR:
Both tours are walking tours and there is about 15 blocks of walking with these tours. However, that is NOT non-stop walking. We stop frequently and go into locations. But we do ask that you wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Bring an umbrella if it's raining! We do not cancel tours because of inclement weather.
IF YOU BOOKED THE HAUNTED HISTORY BUS TOUR:
The bus tour travels to various parts of the city and does include some locations that are not featured on the walking tour. While this is a bus tour, there will be off the bus locations with minor amounts of walking and we will be going into locations. Please dress for the weather!
INFORMATION FOR ALL TOURS:
The Alton Hauntings Tour is a spine-tingling trip into the unknown and are created by Troy Taylor, author of "Haunted Alton" and many other books. These are the only tours actually based on the best-selling books and created by the nationally-known author. Come prepared to discover how the events of the past have created the hauntings of today in "One of the Most Haunted Small Towns in America." We never guarantee that anything supernatural will happen in the course of one of our tours --- but strange things have happened in the past!
The Alton Hauntings Tour is not responsible for accidents on Alton streets or at any of the locations visited. However, attendees will be liable for any damage they may cause at locations. No smoking is allowed inside of any of the locations but attendees are welcome to smoke outside. Please do not leave any trash behind at any location or on the streets. Alcohol is not allowed on the tours and anyone who is visibly intoxicated will be removed from the tour and their admission price will not be refunded. No exceptions!
Attendees are welcome to bring cameras and video cameras on the tour. Flash photography is allowed when the guide is not speaking but during any presentation, we ask that you refrain from photos until finished.
We are also unable to guarantee any supernatural activity on the tour (obviously!) but we can tell you that we have had some very strange happenings on past tours. For this reason, the Alton Hauntings Tours are not responsible for shocks and surprises that occur during the tour and are not responsible for any ghosts that might follow you home. Should that occur, however, please call us --- we happen to know some good ghost hunters!
Please remember that if you need to cancel or reschedule the activity for any reason, you can email us. If you have any other questions, feel free to get in touch.
Thanks again and we'll look forward to seeing you for the tour!
Happy Hauntings!
