Description: Join us on a delicious multi-ethnic food tasting and cultural/historical journey through the Heart & Soul of Greenwich Village (The Central Village - the area surrounding Washington Square Park and New York University). This section of Greenwich Village is completely different from the area we visit on our Original Greenwich Village Food Tour. Find out why this area of the Village is so popular for its diverse food scene, rich history, culture, counter culture, distinct architecture, and vibrant Greenwich Village nightlife.
This tour does not overlap with our Original Greenwich Village Food Tour.

-Water
-Charming tour guide
-Digital insider's neighborhood guide
What is not Included: -Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Itinerary: This tour includes 5 tastings on-the-go and 2 seated tasting. We will walk around Washington Square Park and the Central Village in between tastings. Tastings vary based on day of the week and tours times.
Highlights: We will also visit Washington Square Park, the town square of Greenwich Village, and learn about its radical protesters, infamous hanging tree, the Washington Square Arch, and how the "live and let live" beatniks, writers and poets of the 50s and 60s made Greenwich Village their home. Walk the same streets that Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, and Amy Schumer did while learning about the music and comedy scene, and why this section of NYC can only be described as The Village!
We will savor the flavors at Cuba Restaurant with crispy empanadas, relish the famous pizza at Artichoke Basille’s Pizzeria. At Monte’s Trattoria, enjoy homemade pasta and tiramisu, a true taste of old New York. We'll explore the world of coffee at Porto Rico Importing Co and the world of Tea and spice at Sullivan Street Tea, which has one of the most diverse selections in the whole country! We'll come to a close at Li-Lac Chocolates for minty chocolates, rounding out a journey through multiple eateries over a century old.

HELPFUL INFORMATION:
- Weather Advisory: Tips and Tricks can be found here.
- During the tour you will be walking, standing, and seated in restaurants. Please make sure to wear comfortable clothing and footwear, both can be very casual.
- Umbrellas on rainy days, warm layers on cold days, and cool clothing on hot days will make your experience much more enjoyable.
- In-person purchases or any last minute additions cannot be accommodated. All tickets must be purchased in advance.
FOOD & DRINK:
- There are enough food tastings served that, for most people, lunch afterwards is not needed.
- In an effort to reduce our environmental impact, we NO LONGER provide plastic water bottles on your tour. We recommend bringing your own reusable water bottle. Sit down tasting spots during the tour will be serving water as well!
PICTURES, FILMING & PETS:
- Feel free to bring cameras and video cameras. Please ask the tour guide before video taping. We do not encourage video taping the entire tour.
- We love pets too... but because the tour visits a number of food establishments, you'll need to leave your pets at home.
