What to Bring

Schedule

• All guests are required to arrive 60 minutes prior to departure
• This is an hour and a half guided jet ski tour on the crystal blue waters surrounding Key West

Jet Ski Regulations

• Must bring 1 Credit Card per reservation (Debit cards not accepted)
• Must bring Valid Government Issued Photo I.D. that includes date of birth per guest ages 16 and older
• Must complete a Boater Safety Test if guest does not have a Florida Boater Safety License
• The Operator on each Jet Ski must have a basic understanding of the English Language
• A safety lanyard (key) is attached to the Jet Ski driver at all times
• Three guests are allowed per Jet Ski and cannot exceed a total combined weight of 460 lbs (225 kg)
• Guests must be at least 18 years old or have a parent/legal guardian present at check-in to participate

Guests Born in or after 1988 may operate the Jet Ski if they have a Photo I.D. and meet ONE of the following criteria:

• They have a National Association of State Boating Law Administrators Certification
• They are riding with someone born before 1988
  -They are riding with someone born in or after 1988 who does have a United States Boater Safety License or National Association of State Boating Law Administrators Certification

Guests 4-13 years of age may only accompany as a passenger to someone who is at least 18 years of age. A parent/legal guardian must be present at check-in to sign paperwork. They are not allowed under any circumstance to operate the Jet Ski

Guests 14-15 years of age may operate a Jet Ski as long as a passenger accompanies them who is at least 18 years of age and meets above criteria, with a parent/legal guardian present to sign paperwork and show Photo I.D.

Guests 16-17 years of age may operate a Jet Ski after they have obtained a Boater Safety License, bring Photo I.D., and have signed paperwork from a parent/legal guardian who must also show Photo I.D., even if not participating

Guests CANNOT Participate if they:

• Possess or are under the influence of drugs or alcohol
• Are pregnant
• Have any existing medical conditions that put them or others at risk
• Are 3 years of age and younger
• Are over 18 years of age and do not have a valid government issued photo I.D. and credit card
• Are the operator of Jet Ski & do not have a basic understanding of the English Language

FAQS

• Do you provide parking? - Yes all parking is provided in our guest lot
• If I paid for my ticket do I still need to check in? - Yes, it is necessary for Scupper’s to collect your payment in full voucher and give you a boarding pass. This helps us maintain an accurate count for the United States Coast Guard. You will also be required to fill out various liability forms for the activities.
• Do you provide life vests for children? - All guests are provided with Buoyancy Compensators for snorkeling. 
Life jackets are onboard for everyone in case of emergency.
• Can three people fit on a jet ski? - Yes, as long as the weight does surpass 460 lbs. If you are going to ride with three passengers, we recommend that it is only 1 adult and 2 small children or 2 Adults and 1 small child.
• How fast can the jet skis go? - They can reach speeds of about 40-43 mph.
• Can we switch off driving the jet ski during the tour? - Yes, we make multiple stops during the tour in which you can change drivers.
• Is the cost of fuel included in the price of the jet ski tour? - Yes, it is!

Weather Policy

Scupper’s Watersports does not operate in unsafe weather conditions, but a light rain shower is not a deterrent. The Captain will assess the weather and should the Captain determine that the conditions are unsafe to run the tour, the tour may be postponed or it will be canceled. If a trip is canceled by Scupper’s Watersports for any reason, every effort will be made to reschedule the trip during your stay in Key Largo. If you are unable to reschedule, you will have the option of receiving a voucher for a future trip or receiving a full refund.
