Adventurer's Essentials:
🔹 Swimming Proficiency: To fully enjoy and ensure safety, snorkelers MUST be confident swimmers in the open ocean. Those unsure of their swimming abilities can still relish the scenic boat ride, but depending on the day's conditions, might be restricted from snorkeling.
🔹 Ocean's Moods: While we chase tranquil waters for the most comfortable and enriching experience, nature can be unpredictable. There might be days when the waves decide to playfully challenge our vessel. In such times, trust in our seasoned team. Your safety and satisfaction remain our utmost priorities.
📌 Important Reminders:
- Check-In Time: Arrive 15 minutes before your tour starts.
- 🕰 Timeliness is Key:
Tours start on time. No exceptions for latecomers. Late arrivals are considered day-of cancellations without refunds. If you're late but we can reschedule (not guaranteed), a $55+tax fee will apply per person.
🏝️Tour Details:
- Duration: The tour lasts approximately 3 hours in total. Actual snorkeling is about 1.5 - 2 hours, though this can vary based on conditions.
- Snorkeling Sites: Depending on the day's water conditions, our expert captain and crew will select the best locations for an optimal experience. Therefore no specific site is guaranteed.
- Wildlife: Experience the colorful diversity of Kauai's marine life. From vibrant fish to the occasional Hawaiian green sea turtle or monk seal, our waters are teeming with beauty. (Remember: for the safety and respect of marine life, always keep a distance of 50' or more from endangered species).
⚓ Our Vessel:
Join us on our 25' Rigid Hull Zodiac Boat: "Hokupa'a". These boats, known for speed and agility. These vessels have a closer proximity to the water, so you might experience refreshing splashes. There are no formal "seats" – you'll sit on the inflatable tubes on the boat's periphery. Additionally, there's no bathroom or shade on board. - Top-Quality Snorkeling Gear: Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Snorkel Vest, Wetsuits
- Floatation Devices: Banana Belt/Snorkel vests.
***Please note: Full-face snorkel masks are not allowed, guests are required to use traditional two-piece snorkel and mask sets that are provided by us or they may bring their own. *** - Refreshments: Light snacks & non-alcoholic beverages. (Bring a reusable water bottle for water refills).
Please Note: we provide all rental gear at no additional cost, however, if the gear ends up lost or damaged beyond repair under your use, an additional fee will be incurred. Please make sure all of your gear is fully secure before entering or exiting the water, make sure to talk with your Guide if you have any questions as to how to do this.
🎒 You MAY want to Bring:
- Reusable Water Bottle (we no longer are offering plastic bottled water)
- Sunscreen (Reef Safe, applied at least 30 minutes prior to the tour)
- Swimsuit (please wear as there are no changing facilities)
- Towel, Sunglasses (with leash), and hat (with secure straps)
- Light Jacket (if you tend to be chilly after being in the water)
- Contact Lenses (we also provide RX masks...please ask your guide)
- Long hair? Secure it in a ponytail.
- Change of Clothes
- Booking Voucher (if booked by concierge)
- Cash/Credit Card for Souvenirs & Gratuity (if you appreciated your guides, tips are welcome but not mandatory).
- Bring your smiles and adventure spirit - you're in Hawaii after all!

⚓Kauai Z Tours Boat Policy:
- No expectant mothers will be permitted to board vessel.
- This is an ocean adventure. Ocean conditions can vary and may turn rough at times; this tour may not be suitable for everyone.
- If anyone is prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking a preventative ahead of time. No refunds are given for seasickness.
- Children must be at least 5 years old to board vessel.
- If anyone requires daily medication like asthma inhalers, epi-pens, insulin, or other necessary medications, it is mandatory that you bring them with you on your tour.
- Anyone with chronic back, neck or hip injuries, or back pains and/or limb impairment/injuries should not board vessel.
- Anyone with recent surgeries of any kind should not board vessel.
- Full-face snorkel masks are not allowed, guests are required to use traditional two-piece snorkel and mask sets that are provided by us or they may bring their own.
- No smoking on tour

24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY FOR ALL TOURS
Kauai's Ultimate South Island Zodiac Boat Snorkel tours are something you won’t want to miss! However, we do understand that things happen and you may be required to cancel or postpone your Kauai Z-Tourz/Kauai Sea Riders adventure. For this reason, we have developed a selection of policies we feel best accommodate circumstances that may be beyond your control.
*** Regular Tours cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled date and time of the tour will not be charged any fees to credit card on file*** (This is calculated down to the minute! If tour is at 8am, you have until 7:59am Hawaii time the day before)
Regular Tours cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled date and time of the tour or customers who do not show up to the scheduled tour will be charged 100% of the tour total (This is calculated down to the minute! If tour is at 8am, you have until 7:59am Hawaii time the day before)
Private Charters cancelled up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled date and time of the tour will not be charged any fees to credit card on file (This is calculated down to the minute! If tour is at 8am, you have until 7:59am Hawaii time 72 hours prior)
Private Charters cancelled less than 72 hours prior to the scheduled date and time of the tour or private charters who do not show up to the scheduled tour will be charged 100% of the tour total* (This is calculated down to the minute! If tour is at 8am, you have until 7:59am Hawaii time 72 hours prior)
***If you are late and the tour has had to start with out you, this will be considered a day of cancellation and not eligible for a refund of any kind!
***If you show up to the boat and decide to opt out of the tour (not go) this is considered a "DAY OF CANCELLATION" and not eligible for a refund of any kind!!
