Description: We often see turtles, exotic fish, manta rays, sometimes dolphins, eagle rays, monk seals, and whales seasonally. Tropical fish are everywhere, and after snorkeling is the perfect time in our adventure to go have a little picnic on a nearby beach.
Our kayak tours launch from a beautiful Puako beach access where we become immersed into huge coral gardens just around the point. We take you up the coast past beautiful beaches, a protected fish sanctuary, and places to snorkel that you can only get to by kayak.
Locally owned and operated, we know the reefs and ocean conditions in this area very well. All of our guides are CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard certified because your safety is our #1 priority.

Thank you for booking with Hawaii Surf and Kayak!
Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour begins. We will be launching from a public shoreline access in Puako near the Hokuloa United Church.
We will meet up 100 yards before you get to the Hokuloa United Church if you're coming down from the highway. Look for a vehicle with a wooden trailer behind it on the ocean side of the road.
You can search for the Hokuloa United Church on your maps for directions and then park on the side of the road, 100 Yards before you get to the church. You'll see a vehicle with a trailer made of wood that we use to transport the kayaks. We'll meet you there for check-in.
Recommended items to bring along: Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and optional cash for gratuity. We don't have prescription masks so if someone in your group needs a prescription mask, we recommend you go to Snorkel Bob's to get that.
We have a dry bag for your keys, phone and wallet. Towels or other large items to keep dry can be left in the car. It is also recommended that men shave for optimal snorkeling experience because mustaches can cause masks to leak - but we do have a mask that works pretty well for guys with mustaches.

Cancellation Policy
Customers will receive a full refund with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone or email to cancel or inquire about a cancellation.
