Hawaii Volcanoes National Park In-Depth Adventure
Have your own vehicle or prefer to drive yourself? We can meet you at the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park! A UNESCO World Heritage Site and an International Biosphere Reserve, Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park is a must see while on the Big Island! The park is home to critically endangered wildlife, two of the world's most active volcanoes, and some of the most unique geological, biological and cultural landscapes on earth! At over 335,000 acres, Volcanoes National Park has a vast amount of land to be explored; it can be quite intimidating to do on your own. With our exceptional naturalist leading your tour, we will build a customized itinerary based on your preferences to fully maximize your time in the Park and also you'll learn about all the volcanic features that you're seeing!

Duration
6 hours. Guests will meet guide at the Visitor Center in Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park unless otherwise specified.

Our team will be in touch to confirm our meeting location before the start of your tour. Unless otherwise specified, will meet at the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park visitor center.

After meeting, you are welcome to join in our fully customized Toyota Sequoia or follow in your own vehicle. There is no age limit on this tour, but those who will be traveling with children in car seats must provide their own

- Warm layers: The high country temperatures range from the mid 60’s Fahrenheit during the day and drop to the mid 40’s Fahrenheit in the evening.

Cancellation Policy
- If selecting the deposit option, remaining balance will be due 72 hours before scheduled departure.
- Customers will receive a full refund if canceled before 72 hours of scheduled departure.
- Canceling within the 72 hour period and “no-shows” will be charged the full amount of the tour.
- Canceling outside 72 hours gives Big Island Backroad Adventures LLC adequate time to fill the cancelation.
- Cruise ship guests will receive a full refund if their boat does not make it to port on the scheduled tour day.
