Discover Richmond Tours is now offering neighborhood scavenger hunts! Step outside for some fresh air, stretch your legs, and learn a few neat things about the neighborhood you’ve been calling home. Or, go check out someone else’s neighborhood – maybe you’ll find a new favorite!
Playing is Simple: once you purchase your ticket, you’ll receive instructions for downloading our app and entering your unique game password. Then you’ll see a map of the neighborhood with all points of interest – just head over to one to unlock the question!
Highlights Include:
- Each scavenger hunt provides at least 2-3 hours of outdoor entertainment
- The non-competitive format means you can complete the game out your own pace. Can’t finish today? Just pick up where you left off another time!
- Scavenger hunts can be played individually or as a small team, and they’re all family-friendly
- Our hunts include a mix of well-known and little-known points of interest – even long-time residents will discover something new about their neighborhood!

Download the LoQuiz App:
Download the LoQuiz app on the iTunes or Google Play store - you'll need the app in order to play. The icon has a white GPS pin on a light blue background.
How to Start
When you're ready to begin, open the LoQuiz app on your mobile device to sign in.
- Username: 'museumdistrict'
- Password: found at the top of this email; case sensitive and you must type it in (copy/paste will cause an error)
Where to Start
We suggest starting in front of the VMFA at 200 N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard. We've numbered the tasks, but doing them in order is completely optional, so you can start this hunt anywhere in the Museum District (which is bounded by Arthur Ashe Boulevard to the east, Cary Street to the south, Thompson Street to the west, and Broad Street to the north).
More Helpful Tips:
- Please wear comfortable shoes - you'll be doing a bit of walking.
- Bring a bottle of water and a charger for your mobile device.
- Be safe and make sure to follow all local rules and laws. Our scavenger hunts are meant to be fun, and you will never need to break the law, destroy property, or trespass.
