About
This is a seasonal tour April through October or early November! If you have a group of 5 or more people, or you wish to pay for the price of a minimum of 5 it can be scheduled as a private or customized tour, weather permitting

Be immersed in the beautiful fern-covered mature forest, surrounded by amazing rock formations, while learning about area the geology, history, and the many unique plants and majestic trees. This tour is totally unique to the Hocking Hills as it is led on pristine private land.

Experience two of our easier rock challenges (soft adventure) if you choose, as you enjoy viewing our rock features including rock halls, squeezes, and rock tunnels (these are optional but a lot of fun and most everyone can participate.) If you want a combination of learning about nature and enjoying the fun of a few of its unique rock features this is the tour for you.
Please note
- This tour may take up to 3 hours with larger groups.
- This Ecotour operates Mid- April through Mid-October when a majority of the plants are out.

This tour requires a minimum of 2 people for the tour to run. If you are a solo traveler, please call the office.

If you mainly want to experience our rock features and challenges we recommend our Rock Challenge Tour. If you specifically really want to go deeper into plants, woodland flowers, trees, etc. we recommend our Edible and Medicinal Forest Ecotour.

What to Bring
- Closed-toe Shoes: are required on all tours. Shoes with a good tread are recommended.

Clothing: Wear clothes that allow a full range of motion. Long pants help avoid scrapes to the legs from the rock, but wear what is comfortable, shorts are fine in the warmer weather. NOTE: Clothes can get dirty, snagged or ripped on the natural sandstone rock if you choose to do one or two of the optional challenges.

Water: Bring water to drink throughout the tour, preferably in a reusable water bottle. High Rock will provide a light snack at the end of tour.
- Misc: insect repellent, rain gear, and layered clothing depending on the season.

All equipment provided: A helmet is optional for this tour and provided if you choose.

Instruction: No experience necessary, there will be a safety briefing , your guide(s) will lead you through our beautiful forest ensuring your tour experience is the best it can be! [Age, weight, and mobility restrictions apply, see tour qualifications below.]
Requirements
- Each guest must sign a Liability Release Form. Participant should be at least 6 years of age. Any guest under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and have waiver signed by a parent or guardian. If the parent is not present, a photocopy of the parent’s drivers license must accompany the signed waiver.

Must be in good health and be physically able to walk up steep inclines and hills. Distance covered will be at least 1.5 miles over alternating terrain with rocks, roots and leaves.

Pregnant women will not be allowed to climb or rappel, but may participate in an Ecotour if cleared by their physician.
- Anyone under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or impairing legal medications will not be allowed to participate in any tour.
Additional Items to consider:
- If you tour is scheduled near a meal time, consider bringing a high protein snack. We will provide a snack at the end of your tour.
- Camera or cell phone to take pictures.
- Money for t-shirts, water bottles, stickers, our new Rock Shop, guide tip, etc.
- Insect repellent is infrequently needed but an option to consider
- Thanks to our thick canopy sunscreen is not needed unless it is very early or late in the season.
- Consider a small pack to hold your water and other items.
-Please consider bringing cash for a tip to your guide. Our guides work very hard ensuring your safety and that you have a wonderful time on your Eco-Adventure with us. Recommended tip - 10% but anything is greatly appreciated.
High Rock Adventures reserves the right to exclude anyone from participation for medical, safety or other reasons.
Cancellation Policy
- Your safety is extremely important to us. On occasion high winds or lightning may delay or cancel your tour. If the tour is cancelled by us due to weather or any extreme situation we will attempt to email, call, or text if we know far enough in advance. You may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
- Once reservations are made and confirmed by us, you are considered a confirmed tour guest and your credit or debit card will be charged. Should you choose or need to cancel 10 days or more prior to your confirmed tour date, a refund less a per person fee will apply. Fees: 2-4 hour tours, Climbs, Rappels, Rock Challenges, and Ecotours are $15 per person plus tour booking fee if applicable, Tours lasting longer than 4 hours, Rappelling 201, Climbing 201, and the Climb and Rappel Combo are $25.00 per person plus tour booking fee, if applicable. Please note the Zip & Climb or Zip & Rappel is $15 per person to High Rock Adventures plus tour booking fee, in addition to the cancellation fee charged by Hocking Hills Canopy tours.
- If you need to change the tour date or time, you may do so one time, up to 10 days prior to your originally scheduled tour, based on availability.
- No refunds or reschedules will be given with less than 10 days notice. Your tour reservation is transferable, so you can give it or sell it to someone else if you choose, please advise our office in advance of any name changes.
- If you are late, you will not receive a refund or be able to join your tour. There is a required safety briefing before each tour and we cannot hold the group to wait for a late participant. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your reserved tour time.
-We do offer tour cancellation insurance at very reasonable costs to protect you should you have to cancel.
