Description: Join us on one of our most requested tours to the famous Chena Hot Springs Resort. Located 60 scenic miles from downtown Fairbanks.
After being picked up, sit back and relax and enjoy the scenic 60 mile (96kms) journey out to Chena Hot Springs.
Start your evening off with a guided tour through the Aurora Ice Museum (open year round) displaying magnificent ice carvings.
Enjoy a meal at the restaurant (optional and not included in price) which offers locally cultivated vegetables and Alaskan seafood. Afterwards soak in the Chena Hot Springs Resort’s legendary healing mineral waters. Take a stroll outside to watch the beautiful and breathtaking Aurora Borealis dance overhead in the dark nights (the presence of the aurora is not guaranteed)
What is Included: - Pick up/drop off from hotels only within the city limits of Fairbanks or North Pole. If you are staying at an Air BnB, please contact the office on 907 712 4529 (landline) for the closest pick up location.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR TOUR
- Towels are available for a $5 fee per towel. You are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
- There are lockers available at the hot springs to store your belongings for a fee of 50 cents. There is a change machine in the entry if you do not have change.
- We have a standing reservation in the restaurant, however, dining here is optional. You are welcome to bring you own food and snacks if you prefer.
- Photo ID is required to purchase alcoholic beverages in the ice museum and the restaurant bar.
- We recommend taking a water bottle as you can get dehydrated after spending time in the hot springs. There is a refill station in the entry to the hot springs.
If you are travelling with children
The resort does not allow children under the age of 18 years to go into the outdoor rock pool. They are allowed in the indoor heated pool and hot tub with adult supervision. Since we are visitors at Chena Hot Springs Resort we do have to abide by the rules that they have set.
Also, in Alaska, children under 5 years old must be properly secured in a federally approved child restraint device if travelling by vehicle. We are unable to transport children who are not restrained in accordance with the law.

It is important that we have accurate and up to date contact details for you so that we can contact you before your tour. Please let our office know if you change your phone number or have no access in Alaska so that we can use an alternative form of communication to contact you.
TOUR AVAILABILITY
Most of our tours require a minimum number of guests in order to run the tour. If the minimum capacity is not reached, you will be offered alternative dates. If the alternative dates are not acceptable the tour will be cancelled, and you will receive a full refund.
PICK UPS
Pick up is available to those staying in hotels and vacation rental properties across North Pole and Fairbanks within city limits. If you are unsure if your hotel is within the city limits, please contact our office so that we can confirm or offer an alternative pickup location.
As our guests are staying at different hotels across North Pole and Fairbanks, pick up schedules will be finalized the day before your tour date and you will be advised of your exact pickup times at this time. If you do not know your hotel location at the time of booking, please let us know as soon as you are able to.
Please also remember to check your voicemail as we will always leave a message with your pick up time if we cannot reach you.
If you have booked through a travel agent or other third party (especially using rewards points), please contact us directly and provide us with your phone number so we can reach you.
WAIVERS
You will receive a link to complete an electronic waiver 7 days prior to the date of your tour. It is important that you and all members of your party complete this waiver. If, by the time of your tour, you or members of your party have not completed a waiver, or refuse to complete a waiver, you/they may not be able to participate in the tour.
Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION/ REFUND POLICY
All tours are refundable under following conditions:
- The Cancellation was made more than 24 hours before the tour departure time, or
- if we must cancel the tour due to:
- minimum capacity not being met
- dangerous weather conditions or
- other emergencies.
For Private tours and groups of 8 or more-
- To receive a full refund, cancellation of private tours or groups of 8 or more must be made no more than 30 days prior to the date of the tour.
Please note: The online booking fee is not refundable.
We are aware that sometimes unforeseen circumstances and illness can prevent our customers from taking their tour. For this reason, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance before your trip.
NO SHOWS/ DELAYS / LATE ARRIVAL
- Punctuality is extremely important when traveling with a group. Our waiting policy at the pick-up location is 15 minutes. If guests do not arrive within that time, it is considered a no-show and no refund will be provided. This policy pertains to all our tours, including tours beginning from our property.
- Any reservation not used/ claimed is non-refundable.
- Alaska Wildlife Guide is not responsible for delays or missed tours.
Snowmachine tours
You MUST arrive no more than 30 minutes before your tour time for your safety briefing and gear check. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your safety briefing, you will forfeit your tour and will not be eligible for any refund.
CANCELLATION PROMPTED BY ALASKA WILDLIFE GUIDE LLC
Guest safety is our major priority, hence we reserve the right to cancel or alter any itinerary as conditions require. Any changes made will be in the interest of Alaska Wildlife Guide LLC passengers or as a result of circumstances beyond Alaska Wildlife Guide LLC's control. In case of a full cancellation, a full refund will be provided. Partial refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If you are unable to make it to your tour on time or need to cancel, please contact our office between 9am and 5pm Alaska time on 907 712 4529, as soon as possible.
