Complete your Open Water certification with us!
If you've completed your theory/eLearning as well as your pool skills with a previous instructor or agency, we can help you finish your certification in the warm Caribbean waters. Complete your open water checkout dives with our instructor over two half days. This course includes 4 open water training dives to complete your certification.

In the unlikely event we do not have a minimum of 3 divers, we will inform you ASAP, offer to reschedule or complete your certification as a shore dive. -
If you did not have E-Learning code and did in person classes for your theory, an additional certification processing fee of $45 applies.

Single/Private one on one instruction may be an additional cost of $150
Certification sessions require a minimum of 2 students for scheduling so grab your buddy to join you or join in on a session we already have scheduled.

Dive Student Required Documentation
In order to prepare for your upcoming certification course, please bring the following documents with you or send ahead of time via email: info@diveaquamarine.com
- As a "referral" student with us, you should have already completed your online learning. Please bring a copy of your scores on your first day with us..
- Also, you will need to bring your referral paperwork from the previous instructor showing the pool work skills completed and signed by the instructor.
- Diver Medical Questionnaire - You should already have a copy and the doctors note if needed from the previous agency/instructor. We will need a copy of those or for you to provide new ones prior to your first dive.
Open Water Certification consists of 4 parts in order, of which the first two have already been completed by you as a referral student.
* Completing the e-learning . All sections 1 - 5 complete before pool session (previously done)
* ** Pool skills - completed before open water dives 1 - 4 (previously done)
* An afternoon boat trip (two dives) for instructional dives 1 & 2 on your first day with us.
* ** A second half day boat trip (two dives) for instructional dives 3 & 4 (This may either be 1-5, or 8:30 - 12:30 depending on progress and in consultation with instructor.)
Important Policies:
- **No open flames (cigarettes, cigars, etc) on the boat.
- ** No glass bottles/cups/etc on the boat
- **All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
- **The drinking age is 18 in USVI, but we do require you limit alcoholic beverages to only AFTER you are done diving. Once a diver decides to drink, it means he is done diving for the day.
- **For safety reasons, Student Divers and their instructors (this includes discover scuba participants) may not use cameras/go pro's during any lesson, checkout dive, or discover dive.
Transportation:
We do NOT provide transportation to the marina. The best way to get to Saga Haven marina is by taxi because of the limited parking space, but there is some limited complimentary parking available under the red beams in the area labeled "tenant parking". For exact location, search Google Maps for Aqua Marine Dive BOAT. Please note, this is a different location than our SHOP at Limetree Beach Resort.
Arrival/Check In:
Check-in time is 12:30pm at Saga Haven Marina. (open water dives 3 & 4 on day two could possibly be scheduled for morning in some cases. Please double check with your instructor for the second day of diving schedule.)
When you arrive at the boat, all certified divers will be asked to present proof of certification and all group members will fill out the liability form. At this time, you will also be fitted for all necessary equipment and meet with your instructor to discuss any issues or concerns before getting on the boat. You will also need to bring the required documents if you did not send it ahead of time.
The boat departs at 1:00pm but a little early is best to give you time to present your dive certifications, sign your forms and get properly fitted for your gear. If you are running late, please call (340) 642-8701.
What to Bring
- **Required Documents including Medical release signed by physician (if answers to your questionnaire required it.) if not previously emailed to us.
- **swimwear
- **reef safe sun protection (no sprays) and/or SPF sun shirts/rashguards
- ** towels, hat, sunglasses
- **We also encourage you to bring a filled reusable water bottle to help to reduce single-use plastic waste.
Please note
* **At times, everything on the boat has the potential of getting wet. We suggest leaving water sensitive items at home or bringing them in a waterproof dry bag. Dry bags are available for purchase at the marina and shop.
* ** Also, Sometimes it's windy or rough out in the water so our boat does move around. If you are prone to sea sickness, we highly suggest using a motion sickness remedy as a precaution. We do have a limited supply we sell in the shop and at the marina.
Gratuity
We do not automatically include a gratuity in the price of your excursion. The instructor and entire crew on your boat will equally share in any tips from each trip. Customary gratuity for adequate service for the boat staff is 20%. Our crew works hard to make sure you are safe and happy, so if they do a great job, let them know!

Cancellation Policy
Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 72 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will receive a 50% refund with 48 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will not receive a refund with less than 48 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by email to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
