We are not a ride-from location. If not booking a guide, please plan to rent a CSR trailer, bring your own, or select delivery. You must have a vehicle with towing capacity.
Trailers can be added on upon request.
Note: You are required to rent a sled first before you can rent a trailer.
What to Bring: - We suggest a good pair of polypropylene style long underwear (top and bottom)
- A good pair of ski socks (polypropylene or wool, no cotton)
- Comfortable middle layers such as sweatshirts, sweatpants, and polar fleece
- Waterproof and windproof outer layers (ski or snow pants and jacket)
- Goggles (snowmobile or ski goggles are the best)
- Gloves that are warm and waterproof
- Helmets are required (and provided free of charge for all riders). However, they are a “motocross” style helmet, so you will need to bring goggles.
- Waterproof and warm snow boots
- Balaclava or face mask
- Phone/camera is a must-have to capture the spectacular beauty of snow-dusted trees, frozen lakes, and blanketed mountainsides.
- Always remember to bring fluids (water) and food/snacks
Disclaimers: ## To Know – Sled Only Rental Pickup/Return
Guests must return the machine full of 91 octane fuel or be charged accordingly. Customers are also responsible for the first $3,000 of damage. This is included in the sled price!
Guests that are doing a sled only rental (no guide) must be familiar with how to operate the snowmobile, what ice scratchers are & how to use them, how to not overheat the snowmobile while riding trail, capable of hooking up to and unhooking a trailer, capable of driving a vehicle while pulling a trailer, capable of loading, securing, and unloading the snowmobile from a trailer, basic mechanical understanding of the machine and how to diagnose issues, and must know the overall basics of how a snowmobile operates.
Guests should also be well equipped to be in the backcountry. This includes having all the tools needed to make on-mountain repairs to the snowmobile, emergency supply kit, first aid kit, rope, fire starter, spare clothing, food & water, & proper backcountry knowledge. While Backcountry first aid and Avalanche knowledge is not required, it is very helpful to have when riding without a guide. If you do not feel comfortable with possessing all of the items mentioned above and nobody else in your group possesses them either, ride with one of our guides and learn how to ride alone before going out on your own.
