Looking for a personal tour of the mountain? Do you want one on one coaching tailored to you and your group? Sign up for a private lesson! Our experienced instructors will help you progress your riding to the next level.
Private lessons are designed for 1-5 riders of a similar ability (minimum age 6). We have certified staff that is trained to teach everything from introductory lessons, to double black technical trails and everything in between. If you are just looking for a tour of our incredible trails, hiring a guide is the most efficient way to see the mountain. At this time we do not offer coaching or guiding on Fort Hill.

Thanks for signing up for a private lesson at Thunder Mountain Bike Park! If you are bringing your own bike and gear please arrive 10 minutes prior to your lesson starting. If you are renting a bike and protective equipment please arrive 15 minutes early. Unless your instructor contacts you directly, all private lessons meet in the bike shop in the Main Lodge at Berkshire East.
Please wear appropriate clothing for outdoor activities. We recommend bike specific shoes, skate shoes or sneakers. Helmets are always required. At a minimum we suggest participants wear a full face downhill helmet, knee pads and ride a full suspension bike. Additional protective equipment is encouraged and is available for rent in the bike shop.
Private lessons do not include bike rentals or lift tickets. Please purchase a your rental bike and gear separately. If you did not purchase a lift ticket with the lesson, we encourage you to buy online before your visit.
Lift tickets can be picked up in the Welcome Center just uphill of the Main Parking Lot.
Please note: The Thunder Mountain Bike School has a no recording policy during lessons and programs. We understand that filming is a part of the sport, however the content and methodologies used by our staff is proprietary to Thunder Mountain Bike Park. Exceptions to this policy can be made for instructional purposes only, such as cell phone clips of practicing jumps, when mutually agreed upon by the instructor and customer.
Cancellation Policy
We retain a 5% cancellation fee for any cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance of your scheduled program. All reservations are non-refundable 48 hours or less to your scheduled program with exceptions for bike park closures.
