Expect an adventure that is wild and makes you feel far removed from civilization although it’s just miles away from Tampa Bay, Bradenton, Lake Wood Ranch + Sarasota!
Paddle at your group’s speed + explore places we don’t usually go! Or spend more time at the sandbar!
If you have an uneven ratio of adults to kids or need our guide to paddle someone in your group this is the tour for you!
What is Included: - This private tour gives you the all the 1 on 1 attention from our guide!
- This 2-2.5 hour guided adventure is perfect for beginner + first time paddlers.
- You'll paddle our 100% clear kayaks through mangrove forests before hitting a sandbar on the south side of Tampa Bay with the most iconic views of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge!
- Be on the lookout for many different species of animals from birds, plants, turtles, fish, even the occasional manatee, dolphin + more!
- Please remember this is a wildlife experience + we cannot guarantee that we will see wildlife on all of our tours.
Important information
- Reservations are required for all tours
- The weight limit is 425 pounds per boat + no more than 250 pounds per person. Each of our kayaks are doubles (tandem).
- Alcohol and smoking are not permitted.
- Many variables impact the clarity + color of the water like weather, tides, rain, number of recreational users, restoration work, animal + boating activity. We cannot guarantee the color or visibility of the water. If this is the most important part of your experience- call us we would love to talk to you about current conditions + help you pick the best tour time for you!
- We cannot guarantee wildlife sightings on each tour we take out, however your tour guide will do their best to go to the areas where they are typically most active.

- Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to tour departure for check-in.
- We cannot wait for guests that do not arrive before their tour departure time as these are small-group tours + important safety information will be missed!
- Sunscreen and bug spray application are NOT permitted on tour. The chemicals may be harmful to the environment+ are harmful to the clarity of the kayaks.
- Consider bringing a hat, light-weight long sleeves + sunglasses as portions of the experience are in full sun.
- We do not allow shoes of any type in the kayak so please be prepared to take them off before the tour (socks are welcome).
#Parking + Directions
Please CHECK-IN 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE at the Robinson Preserve kayak launch located in the NORTH PARKING LOT just beyond the entrance to the right. Please park your vehicle to the left in any available spot. Parking can fill quickly on holidays + weekends, plan to arrive early to secure parking.
Always add additional time for traffic + parking.
Waivers
- Waivers will be sent to you in a separate "Action Required" email.
- All guests must sign an online waiver + all minors 3-17 must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver in addition to being accompanied by an adult.
Wildlife + Water

Remember this is a wildlife experience + we cannot guarantee that we will see wildlife on our tours- half the fun is learning how to spot the signs + clues that wildlife like manatees leave behind! Please remember that wildlife is wild + it's always a hope never a promise that we will see wildlife!

Many variables including weather, tides, number of recreational users, restoration activities + animal activity can + will impact the clarity of the water + it changes from hour to hour. Water will not be clear for most of the tour.

Since there is the possibility of kayaking with manatees in their home + they are a threatened species we ask that you watch this short video (just under 3 minutes) by Save the Manatees about how to safely operate a kayak around them!

Manatee conservation is our passion at Get Up and Go Kayaking! We love sharing all the seacow-know-how so we that we can share their home with them for many years! Manatee conservation starts by protecting the land + waterways they call home! We donate a portion of every reservation + an additional dollar for every 5 star review you leave us to The Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast. Their mission is protect the land + water in Southwest Florida for the benefit of people and nature like this beautiful place that we launch from!

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
If you did NOT purchase trip protection when booking, you may cancel or change your reservation up to 48 hours prior to tour departure, within 48 hours of tour departure your booking is not eligible for a refund or to reschedule.
If you PURCHASED trip protection at the time of booking, you can cancel or reschedule up to 12 hours before the tour's start time, less the cost of trip protection and processing fees. Even with Trip Protection cancellation or rebooking with less than 12 hours notice are considered all-sales final.
Get Up And Go Kayaking cannot wait past the scheduled tour departure time for any party that is running late for the scheduled tour/launch time. These are small group tours + it is important that we depart on time.
No-show participants will be charged full price and are not eligible for a refund or a reschedule.
Trips that are canceled by Get Up And Go Kayaking due to inclement weather will not be charged; if your card has been charged prior to the trip, all funds will be refunded.
Weather: Our team watches the weather closely before your launch as the weather changes quickly in Florida. We still paddle out in the event of rain; however, if unsafe weather conditions occur, our team will decide to cancel or delay the tour. Plan to arrive on time unless notified in advance. If we cancel the tour, you can receive a refund to the original form of payment, reschedule the tour, or receive a gift card. Please dress for the temperature for the early morning, afternoon, and nighttime tours.
