Overview
The two words that best describe our PADI Rescue Diver course are challenging and rewarding. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you know about how to prevent problems during a dive and how to manage and control them if they occur. This course emphasizes accident prevention and basic rescue skills underwater, at the surface, and on board the boat. Must be 12 years or older to participate.
Prerequisites:
- 12 years or older
- Certified adventure or advanced diver (or qualifying cert. from another agency)
- Trained and current in first aid and CPR within the last two years
- Can take Emergency First Responder CPR/First Aid Course in conjunction with the Rescue Course for an additional $99
Rates & Options
PADI eLearning Rescue Diver: $500
After completing the online portion of the PADI Rescue Diver Course ($200 non-refundable) you'll visit us at Islamorada Dive Center to complete your training. You'll take a short eLearning Quick Review to confirm your understanding of safety-related material from the course. Then, you'll complete the in-water training portion of the course. Your instructor will have you complete ten rescue exercises in open water, either with or without initial skills practice in confined water. Finally, you participate in two Rescue Diver Scenarios in open water.

Cancellation Policy
We require 24-hour notice to cancel a reservation and avoid a cancellation fee. For major holidays, we require 72-hour notice to make cancellations. Cancellation made with shorter notice or customers that do not show up will be charged a $50 fee/per diver per trip cancelled using the card number holding the reservation.
