Description: Experience the Keys life like a local! Let the Marathon Mermaid take you to explore our island, complete with a sightseeing cruise and a fun and relaxing day at the local sandbar! We will take you around the island of Marathon, showing you all the unique spots that make up our beautiful home, and finish up the tour by letting you float around in the crystal clear waters of the sand bar enjoying life in island style! If you want to get adventurous, try out one of the kayaks or paddle boards and test your skills on the water while exploring the beautiful sandbar!

Check in Details: Please meet at the dock behind Bluegreen Vacations resort. You can park in the front gravel parking lot and follow the driveway that will take you to the marina behind the resort and check in at the office at the top of the dock.
What to Bring: Please Bring:

• water shoes/sandals
• anything else you need to enjoy your time on the water!
Faqs: Q. Can we bring snorkel equipment?
A. Yes, you may bring your own mask, snorkel and fins or we can provide you with some if you would like. However we do not allow full-faced masks to be used.
Q. What wildlife might we encounter?
A. The Florida Keys is an abundant ecosystem full of all kinds of wildlife! We frequently see dolphins, sting rays, coastal birds like egrets, pelicans, herons, osprey, and a variety of schools of fish! Every trip is its own unique adventure, you never know what you might see!
Q. Do I have to be able to swim to go to the sandbar?
A. No, the sandbar is an area shallow enough to stand.
Q. Is there shade on the boat?
A. Yes, our boat is extremely comfortable with a large shaded area on the boat and all cushioned seating.
Q. Do you have a bathroom onboard?
A. Yes!
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. We offer a full refund for cancellations requested a minimum of 24 hours prior to departure time. If weather causes us to cancel the tour, we will try to reschedule you, if you are unavailable to rebook your trip we will refund you in full.
Q. Do you allow pets?
A. At Marathon Mermaid, we’re happy to welcome guests with service animals. A service animal is a dog that has been individually trained to perform specific tasks to assist a person with a disability. These tasks must be directly related to the person’s disability. Under the ADA, animals whose roles are limited to providing emotional support, comfort, therapy, or companionship are not considered service animals.
Guests must keep their service animal with them and under control at all times. Because of the nature of our tours, both the guest and their service animal may need to remain on the boat for the full duration of the trip. This helps ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone on board—including your service animal, our crew, other guests, and the incredible Key West wildlife we encounter along the way.
Q. Is Gratuity included in the price?
A. No, gratuity is not included. If your crew gave you exceptional service that went above and beyond they graciously accept gratuities.
Q. Do you provide parking?
A. Yes, we have complimentary parking in the gravel lot in front of the hotel.

PLEASE ARRIVE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED TOUR TIME. YOU MUST BE CHECKED IN AT LEAST 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE TIME FOR THE CAPTAIN’S SAFETY BRIEFING OR YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE TRIP AND NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN

We will provide kayaks, paddle boards, floats, water toys, refreshments and light snacks to keep you satisfied while you soak it all up. You may bring your own food and beverages, however glass and hard liquor is not allowed on the boat, adult canned beverages are allowed.
What to Bring
Please bring a towel, reef-safe sunscreen (or we will provide you with some!), sunglasses and anything else you need to enjoy your ride on the boat!
If the crew gives you an exceptional experience, gratuities are greatly appreciated.
Cancellation Policy
• For full refund, 48 hours notice prior to excursion is required, unless Trip Protection was purchased. Please contact Marathon Mermaid directly.
• Please note that we have a minimum of 8 passengers required to run our excursions. If we do not have the minimum, we can reschedule your excursion for a different day or will refund your money. Thank you for your understanding!
• PRIVATE CHARTERS: Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 7 days notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price. cancellations with less than 7 days notice will receive credit for future booking.
