About the Tour
Since being destroyed by Hurricane Iniki in 1992, Mala Wharf has become the best dive site on Maui. A quick walk from our shop, Mala is home to so much life that if you only have time for one dive while you’re on island, this should be it. In addition to turtles and sharks, the sunken pier is home to large schools of fish, octopus, eels, nudibranchs, and the elusive but popular frogfish!
The Dive Maui team loves diving and all of our dives have the potential to be one hour long, air permitting. Unless otherwise requested, all our shore dives are conducted on 80’s (standard size tanks) which means you can expect close to an hour underwater.
All our shore dives are private or in small groups of no more than 4 divers so you’ll get the most out of your experience. Smaller groups, make it easier for your PADI professional to give you individualized attention and point out the cool stuff.

Diver Requirements
- 10 years old
- Certified Open water diver
- Can carry 35 LB of gear into the ocean.
- Comfortable swimming in the Ocean.

Cancellation Policy
- There is a 48 hour cancellation policy on all cancellations and rescheduling of dives. Dive Maui is not responsible for cancellations due to a guests' failure to complete coursework needed before a dive or for illness.
- Tour is subject to cancellation or reschedule due to weather or capacity.
Important:
If it has been more than two years since your last dive, please contact us to discuss scheduling a refresher dive. We will not allow divers who have been out of the water for more than two years to dive without a refresher. Upon successful completion of a refresher dive we will be happy to help you book more dives.

Duration: 3 hours
Location: We will meet at our dive shop to gather gear and brief for the dives. Your instructor will determine the day's dive site based on current conditions. Please note, some dive sites do require driving and you will be responsible for your own transportation if that's the case.
What to bring: Bathing suit, towel, hat, reef safe sunscreen, certification card, any dive gear you own, and a smile.

We provide all the dive gear but if you have your own mask, fins, or wetsuit it's a good idea to bring it with you. We also recommend you bring reef safe sunscreen, a towel, and water.

***Please note that sometimes weather does not permit us to dive or dive at our anticipated location. While it is more common than not to see both sharks and turtles on the dive, there are days when the ocean shows us something different.
Cancellation Policy
48 Hour Cancellation Policy strictly enforced! Due to our group size limitations on some activities, we cannot absorb the cost of people canceling at the last minute, when we are turning away people from tours or classes that day. Coast Guard, County, and Dive Agency regulations dictate the number of clients aboard or on the beach each day. When you give us your credit card information to hold a reservation, you are agreeing to the following cancellation terms and conditions:
If the cancellation notification is received less than 24 hours from the start of the tour or class there will be a 100% cancellation fee charged to your credit card.
Cancellations can be made via email at dive@goscubadivemaui.com and must be confirmed by a member of our staff before they are accepted.
If you do not arrive on time for your trip and the groups has departed, you will be charged in full. Please arrive on time. Our trips depart on time and we do not want to leave without you.
Dive Maui cancellation policy supersedes all previous credit card agreements you have with your credit card company.
