Itinerary: You will be contacted a few days in advance to discuss your start time for the tour as each day the sunsets at a different time. We will schedule your tour to start an hour and a half before the scheduled sunset as the captain will need to bring you in within 30 minutes or so of the sun setting.
When you arrive at the park, you will be instructed by a crew member where to park, how to get a parking pass, and where to wait for the tour. You will be waiting in the shaded pavilion area until called for your tour. If you are not approached or you do not hear your name called, please find a crew member in one of our company shirts, they say Florida Adventures and Rentals on them. Your group will be brought down to the dock and assisted to board the boat. Your captain will do a safety briefing and your tour will begin. Our Sunset ecotours travel all around the islands south of Marco Island and stop on one of the isolated islands for sunset. Your crew will provide you with interesting facts and information about the ecosystem, history, and wildlife you come across throughout the tour. As you are walking the beach looking for shells, your captain and guide will assist in finding shells or answer any questions you may have. Or sit back on the boat and relax while watching the sunset over the Gulf. The tour will start and end at the same park location. Please note tours may start a few minutes late or end a few minutes late depending on the amount of activity at the dock as this is a public boat ramp and dock.
Highlights: The Gulf Coast of Florida is famous for our spectacular sunset views each and every day! Now imagine you are viewing them with your family, loved one, or friends on an isolated island with no one around. Truly special moment and a memory to last a lifetime.
You'll enjoy the beauty of the sunset from either a beach or from the boat floating on the water. Bring drinks and food to enjoy as your captain navigates you in and around the mangrove islands.
You may even get the opportunity to see some of our local dolphin population and unique sea birds as they enjoy the end of the day. You won't want to put your camera away as you try to capture every breathtaking moment.
Check in Details: Guests will need to sign our online waivers before check in. This can be found in the confirmation email. A text the day before or morning of the tour will be sent as a reminder of location and waivers.
A crew member will be at the park waiting to check in all guests for the scheduled tour. Please look out for our shirts to know who to check in with.
Once parked and checked in you will be instructed for a parking pass, where the bathroom is, and where to wait before the crew calls for their group.

Wildlife sightings can be unpredictable. We never know what the dolphins, birds or other wildlife are doing at any given time of day, or where they are hanging out. As you cruise around the islands, your captain is driving to all the known favorite spots of the dolphins. Sometimes this can take a little bit of time, so please be patient and understanding that your captain and guide are doing their best!
Faqs: Is there a restroom on board the vessel?
No, once on board the boat, Mother Nature becomes the restroom. Do not worry, the park we meet you at has a public restroom to use before you trip. Keep in mind it does close at sunset, so it may not be available when brought back at the end of your tour.
What should we wear? Should we bring bathing suits?
Bathing suits are ideal, but outdoor comfortable wear is perfect! Guests are welcome to swim at the island beach. Just ensure you have comfortable shoes that can get wet to walk along the beaches. If a lot of shells, it can be uncomfortable to walk on.
Will we see dolphins?
Yes, your captain and guide will be looking for them on the way to and from the island, along with other wildlife you may come across. You will also get interesting facts about the species as well.
