About:
Paddle Laguna's amazing and pristine marine reserve - bustling with sea life along the most beautiful coastline in Southern California. La Vida’s expert instructors will have you up and paddling in no time, with safe launch and landing techniques off Laguna's calmest, most wave-protected cove. Then explore the North Laguna coastline, with hidden coves and beaches.
We meet on a private beach in North Laguna, where your guide will cover paddle basics, including sitting, kneeling and standing positions. Then we launch into the calm, protected cove, where we hug the dramatic coastline and see incredible coves and beachfront mansions. We’ll paddle though Pacific kelp beds and learn about the precious eco-system, over hidden reefs, and see marine life such as Garibaldis (our California state fish), Harbor Seals, Pacific Sea Lions, Common and Bottlenose Dolphins. And if we're real lucky, we could see whales!! We are the only outfitter to use actual touring paddleboards, meaning you'll go faster and go further.

Additional Info
Thank you for choosing La Vida Laguna for your coastal adventure!
We launch from Fisherman’s Cove, a hidden residential beach in North Laguna with the calmest, wave-protected channel for launching and landing.
Directions:
From the north: Take Pacific Coast Hwy south into town. Go to 3rd traffic light- Cliff Drive (note: the second traffic light is also Cliff). Make right then immediate left. The road winds down the hill and bends to the right. When you see the ocean on your right you have passed the entry steps to Fisherman’s Cove. Look for parking. Anything south is metered (and takes credit cards). Anything to the north is residential (free). If you can’t find parking on Cliff, then try Coast Hwy.
From the south and east: At the downtown Laguna intersection of Broadway (Hwy 133) and Coast Hwy, go north on Coast Hwy. Pass two traffic lights (Cliff and Jasmine). At the third light (Myrtle) go left, and then right on Cliff Drive. Heisler Park will be on your left. Road will bend left and dip, and then the first building on the left (ocean side) will be 631 Cliff Drive. Look for parking. Anything south is metered (and takes credit cards). Anything to the north is residential (free). If you can’t find parking try Coast Hwy.
Sign your release, grab your paddles and head to beach: You cannot see Fisherman’s Cove from Cliff Drive. It is reached by a stairway just to the right of 631 Cliff Dr. The beach you can see to the left is Diver’s Cove (do not take these steps). \Now head down the stairs to Fisherman’s and look for Kayaks and Paddleboards set up on the FAR End of this beautiful beach. Your guide will be waiting there.
Bathrooms: The nearest bathrooms are located in Heisler Park, so from the entry to Fisherman’s Cove walk south along the sidewalk (by the railing) up the hill and you will soon see them on your left.
Suggested Attire: Bathing suit, t-shirt, hat, sunglasses (with straps), sunscreen. Leave shoes on the beach (unless they are water socks or Teva-type sandals) and valuables in the car. Bring a towel and water.
