Description: The Laguna Ethos semi-private surf lessons in Laguana Beach, CA are limited to 3 students to every instructor. We teach at Thalia St, Laguna's best location for beginner waves. Our 1.5 hour lessons allow you ample time to learn paddle out, wave judgment, etiquette, and pop-up techniques. Our instructors are experienced professionals who pride themselves on getting you standing up on waves and keeping you safe. We have a very high ratio of students standing up the first time, and launching into a lifetime of passion for surfing and surf culture.
No long walk to the water! We are less than 100 feet from the shoreline right in front of the best waves in Laguna. No vans or long walks with heavy boards! Brand new gear for this season, you found the right company to surf in Laguna Beach.
We love beginners. No prior experience necessary though you must be able to swim and have a healthy love of the ocean.

Please note- we do not have parking available at our physical location. Parking is located at meters at near by cross streets. Cleo and Saint Ann’s streets. Please arrive 30 minutes early to leave time to find parking. We do not extend surf lessons if you are late due to not finding parking.
We meet you at your scheduled lesson time at our Laguna Ethos surf shack, located at 729 Gaviota Dr, Laguna Beach, CA 92651. We are located at the adjecent white storage units across from 729 Gaviota drive. We are seconds from the beach! Come on in and enjoy a quick refreshment while you suit up in private changing areas. Then we head down to the beach for your 1.5 hour surf adventure!
Bathrooms There are public bathrooms nearby at the taco stand Restaurant.
From our surf shop, it's a short walk to the best break in Laguna for beginners because of its consistent, slow rolling waves. Throw on an optional wetsuit, grab a board, and off we go. We start on the sand with instruction on form, timing, posture, paddling, positioning, wave selection, crowd etiquette, and safety. Then we paddle out into the lineup and practice surfing the famous waves of Southern California.
Parking: So much parking around the area, you can choose between paying the meter on or go up the hill away from the beach a ways and park for free in the residential area. No worries! :)
Suggested Attire: Bathing suit to be worn under your wetsuit. Bring a towel, water and sunscreen.

Because we have limited capacities, this booking is not cancelable within 24 hours. Cancellations received 24 hours prior to tour will receive a full refund. If Laguna Ethos cancels the tour because of unsafe conditions, you will receive a full refund. Due to constantly changing ocean conditions, we reserve the right to cancel a tour at any time.
