Surfing is a great way to get in touch with the ocean. Our experienced instructors will give you their personal attention and share the surfing experience with you. Learning to surf could be the beginning of your new lifelong passion. We offer a range of classes for individuals and the whole family.
Please Note: Dates and Times are limited*, No Lessons are available on Sundays and Public holidays.
Action Sports Surf School is a full-service surfing School since 1996, with all levels of Surfing lessons and Adventures. We teach the sport of surfing and impart to each student a sense of respect for the ocean.
We make Surfing easy to learn with our simple instruction and easy-to-ride Longboards. We use the best Soft-top construction surfboards that are safe, easy to use, and fun to ride. Our hardworking experienced Instructors are surfing right with you in the water giving encouragement and guidance.
Special Requirements: - All participants must be able to swim, and be comfortable in the ocean. No non-swimmers allowed.
- Minimum age for mixed adult classes is 11 years old.
- If your child is 8-11 you may book the semi-private surf class and surf together as a group
- If your child is under 8 years old book a private lesson

Aloha, You are confirmed for your surf lesson.
Please check-in at our Van, 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Check-in at Kalama Beach Park, (1900 Sth Kihei Rd. Kihei). We are across the street from the Aloha Gas Station, (Our van is in the middle of the parking lot, in front of the restrooms and park playground). Free parking is available at Kalama Park.
(During Busy Times, Please Allow for up to a 15-minute Delay to Start Times/End Times)

Please be sure to email, call, or send a text message to 808-283-7913 a day before your lesson to confirm weather conditions and lesson start time.

24-hour cancellation policy is strictly enforced, we are reserving this space for you so we will have your instructor ready when you arrive.

Note: our minimum age for a group class is 11 years old, if under 11 years old you must book a semi-private or a private class. Children under 8 years old must book a private class. If you have any questions or have made a reservation in error please contact us to make the correct booking adjustment.
Waivers must be signed before arriving for your lesson;

What to bring:
- A long-sleeved surf shirt/lycra top (if you don't have one, we will provide it for you)
- Yoga Pants (if you don't have them, we will provide them for you)
- Reef shoes (if you don't have them, we will provide them for you)
- Drinking water (please stay well-hydrated before your lesson)
- Cash for a gratuity Tip (in appreciation to give to your Surf instructor after the lesson).
- ( Suggested Gratuity is 20%, please Tip in cash or Venmo)
Photography:
We have in-water photographers who will take photographs/videos of your experience. Photos will be available to view in a slide show after your surf session. *There is an additional fee for the photos (Complete files avg $60pp).

Cancellation Policy
We have a minimum 24-hour cancellation policy. No refunds will be issued for no-shows or late cancellations within 24 hours of your scheduled lesson start time.
