Only Brooklyn residents, or individuals sponsored by a Brooklyn-based nonprofit that can provide proof of 501c3 status, that are 18 years and older are allowed to take this class.
You must submit proof of Brooklyn residency in order to be certified. Here is a list of documents we accept to show that you're a Brooklyn resident.
Please bring an SD or Hard Drive (PC-formatted) if you want to save your footage at the end of class.
THIS CERTIFICATION CLASS REQUIRES THAT YOU HAVE ATTENDED AN ORIENTATION BEFORE REGISTERING. Orientation must have been attended in the last two years before the start of this class. If you have not attended an orientation, DO NOT purchase a spot in the class If you are unsure about your Orientation status, please email classes@bricartsmedia.org.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your first class, so that our Public Equipment Office in the lobby of the Community Media Center on the 2nd Floor of BRIC House will need to collect the following from you:
An unexpired government-issued photo ID the first day of class.
Proof of Brooklyn Residency. If you do not have a proof of Brooklyn residency in your name, DO NOT purchase this class at this time. Please email us at classes@bricartsmedia.org to discuss other options to verify your Brooklyn residency.
Completed purchases mean that we are holding a spot for you in the class. You are officially registered for the class once your have submitted the appropriate paperwork at our facility.
If you are unable to attend the session you registered for, you must contact us at least 24 HOURS PRIOR TO THE CLASS START TIME.
