Additional Info

Aloha,

Thank you for booking a tour with us at Lavaloha! We are excited for you to learn more about how 100% Hawaiian chocolate is grown and made. Please read below for some important information to know before your tour and complete the required paperwork.

WAIVERS:

We are a working farm and require guests to sign a general liability waiver before touring our orchards and facilities. Please have each adult sign a waiver linked in this email. If there are minors participating in the tour, please include their information on one of the guardian’s waivers. If you have any questions, please call us at (808)987-3649.

CHECK-IN:

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time to check-in.

If traveling from the west side of the island, it takes roughly 1.5-2 hours, and you may experience traffic as construction is often being done. If you get stuck in traffic or have any questions, please call our Visitor's Center (808) 987-3649.

WHAT TO BRING:

Here in Hilo, the weather varies from day to day. Some days are warm and breezy, whereas some days you will experience “Hilo rain.”

Most of the tour consists of riding on an open-air bus so please wear comfortable footwear, bring a jacket if you get cold easily, and dress appropriately for that day’s weather. We provide umbrellas and towels for unpredictable weather.

Please keep in mind that our Visitor Center is at 1,000 ft. elevation, so it can feel chilly even on sunny days.

Mahalo nui!
