Description: Join us for the return of the Hawaiian Vanilla Tasting Tour, and explore all of the unique flavors and fragrances of this delectable spice. This tour will teach you how to cook with Vanilla, as well as understand how it works in food and how to properly utilize its flavor characteristics.
You'll learn the difference between savory and sweet applications for Vanilla, as well as explore its use in a variety of dishes. After the Culinary Tasting presentation and sampling, you will be taken on a Farm Tour of our Hawaiian Vanilla Vineyard. Here you'll get a firsthand look at how this valuable crop is grown and harvested, and gain an in-depth knowledge of the Hawaiian Vanilla industry. Join us for a truly unique culinary experience that will leave your tastebuds tantalized!

Directions from Kohala Coast Resorts / Kona:
Drive time from the Kohala Coast – 1 Hour, Kona 1 1/2 Hours.
Drive northeast to Waimea taking Highway 19 east through town towards Honoka’a, noticing the mile markers on the side of the road. Turn right after mile marker 37 onto Pohakea Road. Climb three miles staying to your right . We are the bright yellow building on the left.
Directions From Hilo
Drive time from Hilo – 45 Minutes
Take Highway 19 North towards Honokaa noticing the mile markers on the side of the road. Just past mile marker #36, slow down and make a sharp left onto Pohakea Road.
Directions From Pohakea Road
Follow Pohakea Road for about 3 miles, then bear right at the first junction. You are now on Paauilo Mauka Road. Travel through a small grove of trees, then cross over the bridge and drive past the Shell gas pump. The bright yellow Vanilla Mill is located another 100 yards further on your left.
